( sorry I ran out of firewood, bags are still available in town) Welcome to my beautiful piece of Central Almaguin Off grid camping. I live on 8.25 acres of level fairly open land. 10 min NE of South River The campground is about 3 acres, with 3 sites Beside a small lake, Wendigo Lake, with a wide creek exiting the lake . Paddling distance to 2 other lakes that feed into Wendigo lake. very quiet, private place, stress free, excellent for relaxing, great place for staging daytrips, safe if you want to do a few days in Algonquin Park. dogs and pets welcome, but must be leashed on the property. I have a friendly dog but will leash her also. the sunsets here are awesome, see pics Located only 12 kms from West entrance to Algonquin Park. Dark skies and fairly open area for stargazing. Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away.

Great getaway!!
Creekside was so fantastic. Our site was absolutely huge and beautiful. We had such a great and relaxing time. And as I'm sure you've all noticed by now, Dan was such a great host. He is always looking to make your experience better. We can't say enough about his hospitality. Just make sure that you're looking to relax at your site, go for a kayak or take a beautiful hike. It's not a spot to party and break out karaoke equipment. Thanks again for everything, Dan!! Tasha and Chris

Dan is very hospitable and his dog Penny is very sweet! With only 3 sites, Creekside Camp is small, peaceful and private. There is no cell service. My dog and I stayed at site 3. It is the smallest site of the three and the last in the row making it the most private. My view from site was lovely. On site there is a fire pit, 2 plastic lawn chairs, 2 small tables for next to your chairs, a stack of fire wood, a mesh food tent, picnic table, drinking water, secure trash can, and sawdust for your camp toilet! There is water access and Dan even has some kayaks available for use. A small deck by the water is perfect for watching the sun set.

Its our first time to camp and really glad that we chose this place. Dan, the owner of the site is very amazing. Not only he communicate well and provide some things like firewood and potable water, He allow us to come early, welcome us at the site and he even give my kids snorkels to use just in case. Site is very clean and quite. I will highly recommend this place to go camping and definitely will go back to this place given the chance. Thank you Dan, you gave my family wonderful experience at your place.

More Valuable than Ontario Parks
Dan, Penny, and his property are all gems, we arrived later than planned and our host was quick to help us set up our tent. Super informed and full of knowledge, don't miss out on a great conversation or intel about what nature has to offer. Offers way more than the price covers, and I hope everyone staying here honours the one house rule (he doesn't ask for much at all, so respect that beautiful land). We will definitely be back, thanks Dan!

Dan is a fantastic host who helps to ensure that guests are given the opportunity to have an amazing camping experience. We spent the weekend enjoying canoe time on the water and enjoyed hitting all three connected lakes that included a couple of manageable portages. The property is definitely in “the land of big sky” so be sure to limber up before being committed to looking up! Our experience with Dan makes it hard to consider going to a Provincial park…a lot of space to set up and just the right amount of privacy. Dan was helpful in so many ways and we cannot wait to go back!
