197.684 acres hosted by Norah R.
The stone cottage still standing on the land was built in 1885. The original family hired farm hands, who slept in the top of the summer kitchen at the back, and the large barn was located directly across the road. We have been told that the family used to fill their bed sacks each summer with the abundant marsh grass from the creek, and by springtime it had all but turned to dust. The intent is to lovingly restore this beautiful house back to what it used to be. The previous owner was a botanical artist and avid protector of nature, and we are doing our best to honour her by attracting nature enthusiasts to enjoy the property.
