Heartwood Homestead is a 14 acre organic homestead set in the rolling hills of Ohio. We raise cattle and chickens (and several cats and dogs) and do lots of gardening. Everything is grown/raised organically. We value time in nature and think you should be able to run barefoot and eat straight out of the garden without worry. Our road dead ends into Pleasant Hill lake. If you want the sandy beach and other amenities of Pleasant Hill Lake Park, a short drive around the lake will get you there. We are also minutes from Mohican State Forest and the beautiful Mohican river where you will find hiking, canoeing, putt-putt, go-karts, zip lines, ropes courses, and more. We're less than an hour from Amish country and there are many amish stores and bakeries right here. We're also within 30 minutes of Mid Ohio Sportscar Course and The Ohio State Reformatory.
