This was one of the original homesteads in the Margarees. There was an old sawmill on site which was used to build the house and barn. It was sold to a man who started renovations for a summer house but ended up listing it for sale. I purchased it and completely renovated the 100-year-old house. Shortly after, my brother and I started an outfitting company with no plan of building a campground, but in 2017 we saw a great opportunity for building something unique. We wanted to keep a backwoods camping feel, but yet create it around a hostel-inspired environment. We launched June 1, 2018 and are in full swing now. We look forward to meeting you and will help you out in any way to make your trip here something to remember. Adventure awaits at this eco-camping hostel offering a natural setting, overlooking a picturesque valley. This location offers close to off-grid camping with a twist of comfort; furnished Glamping tents, sleeping up to 4 people per tent on a queen bed with twin camping beds for extra guests. Cooking gear, bedding, and towels are provided. Each tent, located at this eco-hostel, has its own campfire pit, with a solar outdoor shower on site and beautiful views of the river valley.

Bare site good for camping w a dog
Sites were clear & clean w fire rings. Staff was nice & helpful with advice on things to see & do. Location next to the Cabot Trail was excellent. Coop down the street was perfect but closed 6p except Thur & Fri ? open until 8p. Hot water for shower never came for me but others said it worked.

Well maintained site with a nice mountain view ! Almost all the sites were booked and yet was very quiet at night. Sites aren't cramped up, there’s decent room between sites. Amenities were just like advertised. Would definitely book again ! Cheers !

Glamping Under the Stars (Tent #3)
Amazing campsite!
I really loved staying at this campsite. Everything was well thought-out and nothing was too far (getting the water, showers and toilets). I'm generally not a bit camper, but everything about the glamping tent made it comfy even for noobie like me. The fact that this campsite is located next to three amazing beaches (Margaree beach, Whale Cove and Chimney corner beach) made it even better.

Beautiful area. Nice, flat grassy area to pitch your tent. Rustic showers and dishwashing area were well kept. Right on the Cabot Trail! I stayed a second night and rented a kayak for a lazy paddle down the river which is next to the property. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.
