Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Fire Cove Cabin grounds are right at the ocean front of this rugged shale coast. The whole area is prepared for the building of 12 Cabins in 2023 and can be used for self contained campers till then. The pads are perfectly leveled in different elevations for the perfect view of the Bay of Lunenburg. Watch the Bluenose sailing by on her daily turns and many other boats and ships. We have our own little private horseshoe beach and the large Spindlers Beach is 5 walking minutes away. 20 Minutes to beautiful Lunenburg and 30 Minutes to Bridgewater, Ovens Park, and Rose bay are just around the corner.
This is the perfect spot for the individual camper who does not want to be on a crowded Campground and does not need any further services, but wants fantastic views and sunsets on the Atlantic ocean. Easy in and out driving and ample room for you and your camper limited to 12 spots only.Park your RV or Motor Home right next to the ocean on an elevated spot and enjoy the unobstructed view of Lunenburg Bay. With Lunenburg in the background and the Bluenose sailing by, there is hardly a nicer place to be. We have our own private little horseshoe beach and the large Spindlers beach is a 5-minute walk down the driveway. Ovens Park with its famous sea caves is just around the corner, Blue Bayport Pub 10 bicycle minutes away and so is Rose Bay Store for all your groceries and beverages. One of the most beautiful spots on the South Shore for Camping individualists, who don't want or need additional services, just a quiet peaceful setting with a breathtaking view and the most beautiful sunsets.

We are so grateful to have found Gerhard’s land on our travels. The view was incredible; boats, birds, fog, sunset and stars! It was private, and secluded. Our pup really appreciated having the freedom to roam and swim. I wish we had more time to enjoy it. Absolutely stunning, see for yourself!

Zero amenities for high price
16 ft car
It’s just a piece of land overlooking the bay with zero amenities. However the price per night is same as other campsites within a few mile radius that offer same beautiful views plus a full set of essential amenities like washroom, shower, outdoor kitchen.
Either the price has to come down significantly or amenities need to be provided in my opinion.

Peaceful with a great view

The camping spot was just perfect. Just follow the provided GPS on Google Maps and you‘ll find it. There is nothing provided but that was totally fine with us. We had nice weather and could watch the sunset over the cove. The only thing you‘d hear were waves, the occasional duck and the fog bell on the water. Just very peaceful. We were alone on the spot though and I see that the host allows up to 12 RVs there. It is hard to imagine so many RVs, it is probably not so quiet and peaceful then.

If you have an event and are looking for a private spot with an amazing view. This is it!! A small little waterfront perfect for wading in. And great area to skin dive and see little sea critters. We wanted to stay longer!! We will definitely visit this spot again. Thank you for sharing this spot with us
