This 8 acres of land on Wellesley Island is welcoming ‘off the grid’ campsite lovers. Nature walk-about will lead to a pond, woodsy area and natural stone structures on the property. If you venture to walk 5 minutes down the street you can stop by the ice cream shop before walking across the beautiful Wellesley Island Bridge where you will get a spectacular view of ships passing underneath and the landscape of land, water and sky. It is conveniently located 1.3 miles from the State Park where you can rent a boat, hike, bike and visit a playground and beach. Within 2 minutes from 2 golf course. 5 minutes from TI Park, tiparkcorp.com, you can rent a bike, go to the playground, hiking, restraints and jump off the dock at the pavilion. 3 miles from the Canadian boarder. We look forward to hosting you on the Island!Pitch your tent on our more than 8 acres of vacant land for a true rustic, ‘off-the-grid’ experience. Ok... So the truth of the matter is that our goal for you is to cross the bridge leaving your hectic lives behind to find a safe, friendly and liberating space to anchor yourself in nature. We want people like you to have a unique way to get into an environment of your own creativity, connection with nature and build memories on our vacant land. Bring your crew, tents, sleeping bags, extra clothes, food, camp toilet and leave your car behind for the night. Find your site, centrally located on Wellesley Island just across the bridge. Want the 'off-the-grid', primitive camping experience... but only 'sort of'? You might need a backup plan: Nut N’ Fancy camp store is out front for all your forgotten needs. There is a newly renovated ice cream shop, eat-in restaurant and gas station opening up for their first year within 4 minutes walking distance right past Wellesley Island's brand new fire department. If you continue to hike a few more yards you'll be strolling across the beautiful Wellesley Island Bridge with a view of ships, boats and wildlife passing under you on the majestic St. Lawrence River. Respect the surrounding stores and their public facilities. Only use the restrooms when you are purchasing items from the store. Disposing of Human Waste When Camping: Outhouse, Packing-Out-Waste or Cathole-digging (see rules for details). Venture 3 miles down the road to TI Park to rent a bike, jump off the dock of one of the last standing pavilions on the St. Lawrence River and eat at the casual Guzzle or fancy Wellesley Hotel. Venture 1.3 miles down the other way to the Wellesley Island State Park to dock your boat, rent a boat or swim on the beach. Looking for night time entertainment? Take the family on a short 13 minute drive to the Bay Drive-In Movie Theater. Go into the concession stand for dinner and 2 (newly released) movies for the price of one. How to find us... Just take route 81, go over the Wellesley Island bridge and exit 51. Turn right and then your next immediate right, go under the bridge and then your next immediate right again. We are on the right hand side about a half mile down the street. Park out front to the right of Nut N' Fancy store and restaurant. This is a hike-to-site land this year.
