Located in the diverse scenic Hastings area and situated 24kms west of Wauchope the Timbertown. The Woodlands Place is close to the village of Beechwood and only a 20 minute (12 km) drive west to Cobrabald on the Wilson River in Bellangry State Forest. Historic Port Macquarie and a multitude of beautiful coastal beaches are a 40 minute drive to to the east. Other easy day-trip attractions include Timbertown Heritage Theme Park and Bago Maze and Winery. The Woodlands Place offers easy access to the best of both worlds; private but not isolated. 2WD Accessible. We offer a back to basics nature experience, there is a toilet (portaloo) located on the "School Hill" site and available for use by the guests booking that site. All other sites will need to bring their own amenities. Dogs are welcome but must be under control and supervised at all times. The property is a working cattle station however stock are restricted from accessing the campsite paddock when booked. Woodlands are unique landscapes characterised by stands of trees scattered throughout open grassy areas. Sheltering trees with vistas of sunlit or starry skies and grassy carpet underfoot; the ideal place to camp. We hope to see you soon!

The Woodlands Place - Hidden Gully

Nice secluded spot with a good view of the stars. The land does have a slight slant but not enough to be bothersome if you park right. Did surprisingly also have a little bit of mobile reception on site as well (telstra)

Have to say what a great spot. Communication with Lin was A+. Toilet very clean and thank you for the firewood at a very small fee. Will be going back

Beautiful area, met by host on arrival. Enjoyed seeing the kangaroos in the field with us.

Amazing Sunsets

The Woodlands Place - Hidden Gully

This was an amazing place, with beautiful private surroundings and absolutely lovely hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Woodlands Place. If you're looking for a location that offers privacy, safety, and only a short drive to shops/beaches/cafes/restaurants, this is the perfect spot! The sunsets are magnificent! The view of the Milky Way at night time, with the full moon directly above, was spectacular!! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.

The Woodlands Place - School Hill

Very quite. It is on a fairly steep hill, with a flattish area at the bottom, with a large fire pit. There is a solid toilet with a porta potti, very clean. Hosts are very friendly, and met us at the gate.
