50 acres forested land close to New River Beach and Lepreau Falls. Hiking, kayaking, biking, fun at the beach of the Bay of Fundy. A private hiking trail on the property which leads to a peaceful stream through lush forests. A bog with rare plants, such as pitcher plants, sundews, two kinds of wild orchids, and ghostplants, available only for photography for botany enthusiasts.Site 1 is an RV camp. The ground slightly uneven, gravel and grass covered, surrounded by a forest. It is close to Route 175, which is easy access to New River Beach, the Bay of Fundy and about 5 minutes drive from Lepreau Falls. There is a fire pit, and fire wood supplied by the host. The traffic is not too heavy on NB-175, and it quiets down significantly at late afternoon. The land owner lives on the land, but far from the site. The long driveway is the only access to the rest of the property, and it is shared by other campers and by the host. There is a hiking trail on the property, a few km long, about 30 minutes walk through deciduous and spruce trees, and it ends at a peaceful little creek. There is another trail which leads to the bog, where rare plants can be seen, such as the carnivorous purple pitcher plant, and wild orchids in late summer. Campers must be aware that black flies are present. Bug spray and citronella torches are highly recommended. Though the property is large, still it has neighbours. Please keep the peace by being reasonably quiet.
