The campsite is lovely and there are some relatively flat spots for a tent. A short trail through the woods leads to beautiful views of the bog. I restore neglected properties to a natural state, And provide campers with experiences to promote a love for nature. Many options for RV's and campers. You can see deer, squirrel, chipmunks and birds including Pileated Woodpeckers, Barred Owls and Common Loons on the lake. You can less than expect mosquitoes. The campsite is lovely and there are some relatively flat spots for a tent. A short trail through the woods leads to beautiful views of the bog. The campsite is very close to the north section of Sax-Zim Bog and about 20 minutes from the Visitor's Center. Further down E. Stone Lake Rd. is the Blue Dasher Bog trail. The lake, left fork of the road, has a lovely picnic area with vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables , boat ramp, and dock. This is just the kind of hidden gem you love to find. All Amenities are across the road at the public boat-landing.

Promised a quiet spot away from everyone. This is a fairly dense neighborhood. Someone, we don't know who, approached my vehicle and shined a bright light at me. I informed the host, thinking it might be them or a friend making sure I was ok, but I was upset that it wasn't as private as promised. I let it go, and was going to stay until the house next door started the thumping rock music at 10:20pm. I found another hipcamp nearby, booked it, and left.

Directions by two different GPS maps were not accurate. The description of the place and amenities were exaggerated. The contact never replied to either message or phone calls.

Cozyish

Overall pretty good. Wasn't expecting to be a stoned throw to an abandoned house. Nice site, not very quiet, the neighbors drove by almost hourly in the morning and evening pausing in front of where we were set up. However it's a great location of you're looking to hit the bog. Wake up to the sound of blue jays and chickadees, barred owls calling to each other at night, it was awesome.

Quiet and peaceful
Tent · With pets
Our campsite was easy to find and pretty secluded. The fire pit was nice. It was very quiet our entire stay.
