In the center of Steep Rock, just 250 m from the lake, you can set up a tent, or camper, with electrical and water access, just a 3 minute walk from the lake. There's a shady bonfire location in the bush with hammocks, access to a BBQ, on site kayak rentals, coffee, ice cream, cold drinks and other conveniences. And plenty of free parking. Accessible without driving down dusty gravel roads. Portable toilet on site. I had trouble uploading photos, otherwise I'd have better ones.Site is only a 3 minute walk to the lake. There's a shady bonfire and hammock area included, electrical access, water, portable toilet and more. BBQ included. Refreshments, burgers, ice cream, etc, can be bought on site, as well as kayak rentals. Over one acre of land.

A hidden gem for camper enthusiasts

I recently stayed at this site, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with breathtaking views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The site was perfectly maintained, offering all the essentials for a comfortable stay while still allowing us to feel completely immersed in nature. The host went above and beyond, providing thoughtful touches like a campfire setup with hammock in a little secluded bush and local tips that made our stay even more enjoyable. The location itself was stunning—secluded yet accessible, with plenty of trails to explore in the area (quarry & cliffs) and an insane starry nights that was simply magical. He borrowed his bike to my friend to have her morning bike while the rest of us slept soundly in nature enjoying the peaceful morning, truly something for everyone! Hipcamp made the process smooth and easy, with a user-friendly platform that helped us find this incredible spot. Pete is a super host on Airbnb with the most unique stays, I was super excited he joined hip camp with all his land and spots he has and the little touches he does in his spaces. If you're looking for a unique camping experience that combines adventure with comfort, I highly recommend checking out Hipcamp. It truly exceeded all our expectations! The camp site also allowed us to be in our own space but able to make friends when we go to his kayak rental set up space. We made some wonderful memories and met the coolest people!!!
