We're Ben, Trinh, Camille, and Sage. We purchased this 12 acres in Fall '20 as a way to share our love of the outdoors with our friends and family. As time went on, we noticed a need in making outdoor activities more accessible and inclusive to those outside our network. Rooted Timbers was created with the intention of making it easier for you to disconnect from business and connect with stillness.Reconnect with nature at Rooted Timbers. Lay out your tent and kick up your feet by the fire pit (also doubles as a grill!) while you listen to the sounds of the woods. Parking is conveniently located at the end of the private trail (~50 feet) that leads to your site so you can pack in and out with ease. A fire pit/grill, the first bundle of firewood, 2 camping chairs, and camping toilet are provided. The leveled mulch bed has enough room to put up a standard size 4 person tent while leaving plenty of room for the fire pit and seating. Hackberry Bend can also comfortably accommodate 3 or 4 hammocks for lounging in the shade. Additional firewood available for purchase ($5 per bundle, see Extras).

PET POLICY: If other guests are on site, pets must remain leashed. If there are no other guests on site, pets are free to roam, but please be aware of traffic passing on the gravel road. Additionally, plan on having your pets sleep in either your tent or vehicle to avoid predators at night.

Relax under the trees

Tent

Loved it here. Secluded and peaceful. There is a picnic table and fire pit provided. Pretty trail to the river. I would definitely come back here.

Peaceful getaway!

Ben’s spot was great, super peaceful and relaxing. It’s beautiful out there. We were the only ones there and the dogs loved running free. Walked the whole stream and back it was an all around great time. 10/10 would stay again. Thanks for everything!

Quiet and secluded with great host

Ben was friendly and hospitable and easy to communicate with. The property was easy to find. It is on a gravel road, but that means not much traffic. The site was quiet and secluded, but felt secure with a gate that is locked at night. A picnic table, Adirondack chair, fire ring and firewood were all included. Great place for a quiet getaway. It is rustic. No electricity available. Bring your own drinking water. Ben did provide a camping toilet which was very nice.

Gorgeous views

The property is beautiful. They had 3-4 sites & all were a distance from each other giving everyone privacy. Hiking trails are well maintained & contained several stopping points along the way to enjoy the river or the forest. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the chairs provided by the river. It was nice to unplug & enjoy beauty.

Ben’s spot is a perfect and easy little getaway. Everything was simple and very well communicated. We had a great stay and the creek on the grounds was completely soothing.

Woods river camping

The land was great. Private camping spots for our tow behind small camper. With trails to explore and on a river bend making a pretty view. Has glamping tents on property to rent as well. Our site was a primitive camp site with a fire pit and portable toilet to use. It is in the woods so have bug spray. Beautiful noises of the crickets and frogs as we slept.
