Hello Campers, Here at J + M Acres we pride ourselves on providing a wonderful camping experience. When you book with us you get over 10 acres of 100% private camping land because we only allow one group per booking. Unlike other sites, we are more than willing to help get you and your gear out to and back from the campsite as well. We have two large open areas for camping and activities and just over a mile of walking trails. The main camping area has 16’x32’ deck with plenty of folding tables and two wrought iron tables w/ 8 chairs. The other large area has an 8’x10’ deck with love swing. We have a large fire pit and to make your life easier, firewood is available for purchase on site. There’s also a very nice outhouse with a cold water shower on the outside. The main trail and outhouse trails are both lit at night. We also have a charcoal grill, tripod grill for over the fire pit, bags boards, beersby, volleyball nets, bocce ball, and frisbee golf baskets that are all available for use upon request for no extra charge. Great place for large groups!
amazing property and even better host. A ton of open space for kids to play but that also means a lot of sunshine (highly suggest a canopy so you can get some shade in the open space). toilet was top notch! and a nice cold shower will make you feel so refreshed after a hot sunny day. my kids loved seeing and hearing animals near by. grass and trail was very well maintained and host was always able to help with anything we needed during our stay. FYI your car will be parked away from the campsite. by no worries, host will gladly help you bring your equipment down to your site with his trailer.

Lovely spot, kids and I enjoyed the space and Jason was a very helpful host. This would be a great place to have a multi-night group camp :)

Space & Privacy
If you want space and privacy, this is a terrific choice. In need of an escape from the city, our family made the very doable drive down from Chicago. The camping site itself is rustic enough to enjoy the natural setting, but there are enough amenities to easily make yourself comfortable. Jason's land is beautiful, tranquil, and very well-kept. Acres of prairie and woods interlaced with established trails and clearings are a terrific setting for a simple camping getaway or potentially a more lively group trip. The host was accommodating, friendly, and informative. We felt welcome, but not looked-on whatsoever. Privacy is easy to find here. Our two high-energy dogs took advantage of the space and were able to spend the whole weekend off-leash without issue.

Camping with Dogs
I recently had an incredible camping experience at a fantastic location. Jason assisted us with settling in, ensuring we could fully enjoy our time there. Activities such as hiking, fishing, and relaxing around a campfire under the starlit sky were thoroughly enjoyable. The perfect weather and clear skies enhanced our outdoor adventures even more. This trip provided a rejuvenating escape, combining relaxation with thrilling outdoor activities. I highly recommend this location, especially for anyone seeking a spacious private campground experience as I have 3 dogs that enjoyed there.

This was the second time that I've gone to Jason's awesome site. The site is incredible and impeccably maintained, and Jason is an amazing host. There are many awesome places to raise a tent. The outhouse is truly world class. We will be back!
