Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
45 minutes from Athens, located in the corner of a 20-acre mostly wooded property, this clearing is an ideal spot to camp by yourself or with a group. The area is surrounded by young hardwood forest with walking trails throughout. Deer and birds are plentiful on the property. We are located minutes from Bowman, GA to the north and the Sand Bar Canoe and Kayaking to the south.Pitch your tent in a private clearing in the corner of our 21 acre wooded property. There is abundant wildlife in the area and trails to walk the property. There are no restrooms available, so plan accordingly. We are minutes from downtown Bowman to the North and from the Broad River to the South. Be sure to check out the Sand Bar kayak and Canoe rental if you have a day to spare experiencing some beginner level whitewater fun.

John is a great and kind host. Great place for simple tent or car camping. Nice tree stand to play some guitar on or just chill. Also a nice fire pit.

Great Isolated Camping!
John's property is incredibly beautiful and isolated. There are no other campsites on the property. Great host, and extremely welcoming. Id recommend highly!

Campsite is very secluded and large. Reminded me of Georgia when I was a kid. Very little traffic noise. Nice to farm animals in the distance. John was a great host and asked me what he could do to make site better. Best, William
