Our location in Lochearnhead provides an ideal base for walking, water-sports, cycling, with flora & fauna and wild life in abundance. There are many local historic places to inspire you and bring the history of the highlands to life. Or perhaps you'd simply choose to curl up with a good book and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a slower pace of life. Wester Auchraw is located on the A84, Cycle Route 7 and the much loved walk 'Rob Roy Way'. It sits amongst spectacular scenery in Highland Perthshire yet is only 1 hour's drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth.The space I have created for you to stay in are great value coupled with high standards Wester Auchraw Croft has two guest double bedrooms and a yurt in the medicinal gardens, here you are not a number, but special Guest.The space is peaceful and very relaxing. Being a 16 Foot Yurt it is spacious with its own log fire Queen bed and lounge area. Your luxury bathroom is in the Cruck framed highland croft. Breakfast is served in the Highland Longhouse Melanie proudly uses all of natures colors, larder and atmosphere in all she does to make your experience special and memorable Lochearnhead is a small village at the head of Loch Earn. Stunning all round views. Many recognized walk ways and mountains to clime, drovers roads to traverse, waterfalls and old indigenous forests to fill your senses, bringing inner spaciousness, calm and peace. Being in the Trossachs the gateway to the highlands the diverse fauna and flora surrounds you. Lochearnhead is steeped in history from the Mesolithic-Age, the Bronze Age with the crannogs on Loch Earn, the evidence of Pictish and incoming Scots from Ireland and the feudal estates of the clans McGregor, McLaren and Stewarts. Wester Auchraw is a beautifully renovated Highland Croft, making it a fine juxtaposition, where old meets new. The Cruck framed beams arching over the main space, highlighting the architectural importance of this unique Croft. Your room ‘The But ’n’ Ben’, recently refurbished, with en suit shower and its own entrance into the property. You will enjoy sitting outside taking in the views while listening to the bird song in the gardens. Three course breakfast included with option to book a dinner.
