Welcome to Mesa Verde Lavender! We are a working lavender farm with 1400+ lavender plants, a flower garden, vegetables, and a small orchard. Hike in the canyon that splits our property, roam with the birds in our pastures, pick some fruit if in-season, or sit and enjoy wildlife, sounds of the creek, and views of the La Plata Mountains, Sleeping Ute Mountain, and Mesa Verde. Our 50 acres is situated in Southwest Colorado between Cortez, Mancos, and Dolores. 5 minutes to Phil’s World for mountain biking, 1 hour to Durango, and 2 hours to Telluride.
Pay for the experience - farm tour and all the fixings. The breakfast, stay and hospitality is included with the farm tour! Note: this is NOT a commercial campground; rather an agricultural business with a focus on all things lavender.
Come adventure, smell the flowers (literally!), and enjoy feeling of these ancient healing lands!Bring your belongings and stay in our fully furnished lavender wagon! Beautiful craftsmanship with an incense cedar interior and an antique beadboard ceiling. The wagon is small but has a queen size bed, two burner propane stove, microwave, small sink, vault toilet, refrigerated cooler, ventilation fan, and reading nook. Plates, utensils, pots, pans, teas, and coffee all stocked for your stay. A homemade breakfast for up to 2 people, is included.
Parking is provided for 1 vehicle within steps of the wagon, with room for another vehicle that can be parked on the property, also within easy walking distance. A small table with chairs rounds out the space outside. Within sight of the wagon is the common space outdoor shower, with full privacy and hot water, for your use! Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided.
The property has already has a dog and 2 cats, so please, no pets allowed. The wagon is our part-time home and we expect you to treat it as your own while you are here :). There is no cleaning fee associated with the lavender wagon, so to keep it this way please help keep things tidy and organized.
Quiet hours are from 9 PM - 7 AM. This is a working farm with some construction and farm activities on-going, so please expect noise during the day (typically 8 AM to 5 PM). The main house is currently being remodeled, so expect noise and equipment around related to that.
No arrivals after 10 PM, please. We live in a rural setting and are respectful of our neighbors peace and quiet, in addition to our own.
Check in as early as 3 PM and check out by 11 AM.
When booking, please let me know how many people will be staying in the wagon and the reason for your visit in the area! Much appreciated!
