6.6 acre property that is a small farm, still lots of trees, a small seasonal creek in the back, a duck pond with a boat to paddle around with or just float around. we raise layer hens so there are fresh free range eggs available. we also raise pork and broiler chickens periodically throughout the year. there is easy access to logging road for mountain biking or hiking. this property is a small piece of wilderness yet only 4km to town. The camp sites surround the pond and there is a choice of lots of sun and light or shaded under the trees. The sites can be used by R.V or tent. there is an outhouse onsite for your convenience.bring your R.V or tent. Set up near the pond. there is a horse next door at the neighbors, there are ducks that visit the pond and deer Rome the property regularly. there is a close by trail at the end of England road that is a multi use trail for walking, biking, horseback riding, and recreational vehicle access to the back country and Comox Lake.

Jamie's pond and forest retreat is a wonderful place. It's so private and serene. My daughter and I had the site to ourselves and all we heard was wind in the trees and birdsong. The facilities (outhouse, fire ring, tent pad, picnic table, garbage pail and recycling, and hose for water) are all in great condition and the grounds have been landscaped beautifully. And we had lots of fun rowing his boat around the pond. Jamie is a great host: he greeted us upon our arrival, checked on us during our stay and even made us a tote full of dry split firewood, kindling, paper and an axe for our evening campfire. Jamie's place is awesome. I highly recommend it! 5/5

We really enjoyed our stay at the pond and forest retreat. The campsite is very private and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Our host promptly met with us shortly after we arrived, and he took the time to show us all the features of the campsite. We will be back to stay again soon.

Awesome place!

We loved camping at Jamie’s place. It was beautiful and green, private, quiet and peaceful. Jamie was a great host who made sure we had dry firewood and everything we needed. There was a picnic table + another table with chairs and umbrella for shade by the lovely little pond and yet another seating area by the fire pit. He showed us a trail we could ride on to get directly to the Cumberland mountain-biking trails. We never used it in the end, but this just to say that there is easy access to the trails from his place. Directions to Jamie’s place were easy to follow and he communicated kindly and promptly with us before and during our stay. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful and peaceful time spent on Jamie’s camp, easy to navigate, cozy and welcoming. Plenty of room to spread ourselves out and enjoy the peace and quiet. Reception was a bit shoddy but only an excuse to disconnect!
