Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
My son and I bought this 5 acres in 2016. It is truly our nature getaway. I have been connected to Mayne Island since 1988. Currently I live on Mayne and Saturna Island. The Southern Gulf Islands of BC are indeed a very special place. Learn more about this land: Our RV-only site on Mayne Island offers a nature-filled getaway in the southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia. Bring your van or truck camper to our quiet dead-end road, and wake up ready for a day of kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming, or boating to a neighbouring island, or just relax and watch for the local deer. We have one site that can accommodate up to three people, and our outdoor kitchen provides space to prepare food. Mayne Island is accessible from both Vancouver and Victoria via ferry. One of the dozen major islands that make up the southern Gulf Islands, Mayne Island sits between mainland B.C. and Vancouver Island; book your car ferry with BC Ferries and enjoy the ride across the Salish Sea. When you arrive at Village Bay Ferry Terminal, the campsite is a 3.5-mile drive southeast. For a small selection of restaurants and food shopping, head to the village of Miners Bay, a 2.5-mile drive away. You can prepare food in the on-site outdoor kitchen and dine at the provided picnic table, but there are no fires allowed and no potable water. Electrical hookup is available, and the parking spot is a back-in space that can accommodate up to 20 feet in length. Taking in all that Mother Nature has to offer in this beautiful part of the world is the main activity on 8-square-mile Mayne Island. Explore the shoreline with a kayak rental, go swimming at Bennett Bay, or perhaps visit a neighbouring isle like Galiano Island to check out its trails and viewpoints such as at Bellhouse Provincial Park. Cultural attractions on Mayne Island include the Japanese Gardens and Georgina Point Heritage Park and Lighthouse. Our RV-only site on Mayne Island offers a nature-filled getaway in the southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia.
