We are located on the edge of the wilderness just 30 minutes north of Victoria. Our camping area is very quiet and private. We are next to a spring fed lake that contains trout and small mouth bass and it is great for swimming during the summer months. There are no motor boats permitted on the lake, however it is perfect for paddle boards, floaties and kayaks. There are several walking trails throughout our 10 acre property and the Trans Canada Trail is just minutes away. We have a large lawn for playing frisbee or bocce ball and a corn hole pitch (also known as beanbag toss). There is a fire pit, pinic table, 2 patios with tables, chairs and umbrellas and a pit toilet. A sink and potable water are also available. We are situated in forested land on the edge of the wilderness. There is deer, bear, cougar, beaver, martins and an abundance of birds in the area. This is a great location for those hiking or biking the Trans-Canada Trail. Adults and small dogs only. Currently our sites are only available on weekdays and is unavailable from November to the end of April. We are located on a small lake just 30 minutes north of Victoria. You can pitch a tent on grass overlooking a small lake, beside a picnic table and hammock. Park your RV on a flat gravel space beside a beautiful lawn. We have room for 2 RV's if you are travelling with friends. Adults only. We have 2 kayaks and a row boat you can you use. There are trout and small mouth bass in the lake. There is a fire pit and ample firewood when there is not a campfire ban. We are located close to the Trans-Canada Trail. Booking for weekdays only.

Jim’s an amazing host. You can tell he loves his little slice of paradise and he’s happy to share it with travelers. We stayed here while bikepacking and he generously offered us cold beers and a lift to the top of the hill. Jim’s a gem

Slice of Island Heaven!
18 ft travel trailer · With pets
My wife and I (and our dogs) really enjoyed our two nights on Jim’s beautiful acreage. The lake was a huge benefit to our one dog that loves to swim. The evening fires were so cosy! Thank you Jim and Denice for opening up your place. Sheila, James, Ruby and Reno.

Sunnyside Timbers is absolutely wonderful. It lives up to everything in its description and much more. Nestled in a beautiful clearing in the woods and a few steps to the lake, the site is clean, safe and quiet. The site owners were amazing hosts. Clear instruction to find the site and, knowing where we were heading next, they mapped out locations for us to visit. Couldn't ask for more. 5 star plus rating.
