Sweet spot
This place is a gem tucked away in a beautiful, friendly little neighborhood by a gorgeous beach perfect for picking rocks, sifting sand through your toes, swimming and meeting new friends. In gratitude to Paige and Lizzie 💞

Island Gertie
We enjoyed our little gateway at Paige’s place. The Gertie converted bus is cute and cozy. At night we turned on the heater so it’s very comfortable! Walter is the cutest and the kitty will follow you everywhere so cute. The place is also very close to the beach, so that’s a bonus!
And make sure to check out Paige’s pottery studio. She’s very talented with her art work! Don’t hesitate to book this for your glamping experience

Glamping option with comfy bed
Cute old bus, comfortable bed, fairly private outdoor area. Loved the proximity to the beach as well as the very ripe and delicious wild blackberries hanging all around the bus. Appreciated that we could bring our 12-year-old golden retriever with us! Other than some cobwebs here and there, the bus was fairly clean and had dishes, pots and pans, etc. A vase of fresh flowers was left on our outdoor table after we arrived which was a nice touch. There are no screens on the windows and we did get a few mosquito bites overnight - but we were there during a wet period. Likely, there would be no mosquitos during the dryer part of the summer. Note, the bathroom is in the lower level of the main house (next to the owner's pottery studio) and is shared with other guests that stay in rooms on another part of the property.

So relaxing!
This was an adorable, quaint little place to stay on Gabriola island. The bus itself was cozy and had everything we needed, and the perfect temperature this time of year - even overnight. Lots of pillows and a comfy couch to lounge with! The table outside was really cute, and we cooked out on the bbq burner a lot. The propane campfire was a nice add-on, though I do wish there were a few comfy chairs to sit and hang outside. So many blackberries growing in the bushes right next to the bus! We were surprised to find the bathroom was shared when we arrived, but we got used to it. The beach down the street is great! Overall, we had such a relaxing time.

Such a special spot!! Perfect chill place for me and my little dog to chill, with a beautiful beach, park, and coastal forest trail all steps away. Such a magical bonus to have a few blackberries to pluck every morning with breakfast. Thanks so much for sharing your magical spot, Paige!!

Would love to come back!
The bus is very cute! You're on her property but it does feel pretty private the way it is set up. Note, the washroom is in her house and seems to be shared with the other guests. They don't live on the floor of the washroom you're using though - that's her pottery studio. Wifi is great from the bus but service is pretty spotty on the island. Best part was the quick walk to a beautiful beach which never was very busy. I wandered every morning searching for shells, went for swims, and took my paddle board out twice. The island also feels extremely safe.
