Welcome to 28 acres of forests, mountains, creeks, a river and all that comes with it!
We live in a little off-grid cabin deep in the Yalakom Valley in a small community of rustic-living and friendly folks. Please note that this property is located 40 km outside of Lillooet. Part of the road is a dirt road and a bit bumpy, best for cars that don't mind roughing it a little bit. You also lose service 5 minutes outside of Lillooet. The property is surrounded by private lots. You can explore ours down to the river or you can drive to other locations like the Horsehoe (a great swim spot) hikes, Carpenter Lake (great for swimming, too), Lac La Mere (good for fishing) and much more.
We have a have a yurt [the yurt is currently unavailable as it needs a new roof], a vintage camper or a cabin.
This is a rustic spot- if you are looking for fancy glamping this is not the space for you! Vancouverites, you've been warned!
The yurt was a unique and fun place to stay for the long weekend! It took away the hassle of bringing a tent and even had an outlet for charging phones etc. We also loved that it came with bedding. It is very close to Horseshoe Bend which is a beautiful river canyon landscape. It is quite close to the main house so you might not get total quiet between reno tools and barking but it was far enough from civilization to feel like an escape. I would stay here again, it's great value. Thank you!
The Yurt at Deep Mountain is a very cool place to spend the night, listening to the crickets sing, wind rustle the leaves, and the river rush below. The yurt is surprisingly spacious, equipped with a bed, couch, and table, plus electricity, WiFi, and drinking water. Just outside the yurt is an outdoor seating area and hammock. The property itself is tucked away within a gorge along the Yalakom River, creating a unique charm, and a cool and exciting road to get to it. Walking down to the river, one is met with a nice area to hang out for a while, and swim if you're brave enough to face the chilly water. A short drive away is Horseshoe Bend which provides nice views of the river below, and one can hike down to explore if they so choose. Further down the main road one came in on is a rec. site with further access to the river. I greatly appreciated the rustic charm of the property, and was especially thankful for the yurt given it rained the night I visited. Ren is friendly and very responsive to any questions I had. I would stay again!
We loved staying in the yurt and exploring the creek and forest! The yurt was very cozy and it was magical to hear the raindrops on the roof. We would definitely recommend!
The drive alone to this location is spectacular and a little scary so drive carefully. Once you have all your camping gear for food plus lights this location is amazing. The peace is accompanied by the river plus lots of stargazing. Quite rustic but really really great.
I loved the hand build yurt at Lillooet . The beds were very comfortable. Everything we needed was there . The host was amazing they went out of their way for ultimate comfort in a yurt with extra blankets and drinking water. The sound of the creek was so smoothing. The birds singing and all that nature sound I was looking for is in this place. Lots of places to hike, dirt biking . Very private place no one else close by to bother us at all. We will definitely be back .My Kids loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave.
