Learn more about this land: Enjoy camping on our quiet and peaceful campsite located in Cowichan Valley BC on Vancouver Island! We welcome campers with tents or camper vans (maximum vehicle length= 25ft). Much of the property is treed with second-growth cedar, hemlock and some fir trees. Our property is designed for you to unwind and relax. We have an outhouse available for campers to use as well as a hand pump for water. Nature lovers will find plenty to explore; Kinsol Trestle is close to our property. Hikers will love the proximity to the Mount Tzouhalem Kaspa Trailhead, and mountain bikers will find this a great location for their sport. For those looking for a more relaxing vacation, unwind in the surrounding gardens and take in the beautiful views. We are 15 minutes to the closest town where you can stock up on all essentials! Great for families looking to get outside and enjoy nature at its finest. We look forward to hosting you!

Site 2 - Camping Historic Kilson Trestle

This was our second time staying at the site. This time we just slipped in in the evening and left in the morning, but it was nice to return to a spot that we felt was wonderful and comfortable at the end of our trip.

Site 2 - Camping Historic Kilson Trestle

I love Gio's property. Peaceful, quiet, remote... yep not much around, which is just great! I've camped in two spots on his property now, and had wonderful experiences both times. About a 4.5 km hike to the trestle bridge (trailhead is just 1km down the road from Gio's)

Couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful 4 days of camping. Only a short ride to rails to trails biking and the amazing Kinsol trestle. Giovanni responded quickly to all our questions and Loretta was a fantastic host. We would go again in a heartbeat, Sue

This site was fantastic in all ways. Quiet and serene, clean and airy pit toilet, very helpful host on site if needed. Giovanni was very responsive to all of our questions and generous in many ways. Really a perfect spot to stop and rest and so close to the Lake Cowichan trail.

Site 1 - Camping Historic Kilson Trestle

Giovanni has a nice property just off the Cowichan Valley trail. This was a perfect stopping point for bikepacking the Cowichan Valley 8. I spent two nights here, doing the loop to Cowichan Lake and Duncan on my second day. Highly recommended! Giovanni is great!
