Little Tent on the Homestead is a truly authentic, immersive outdoor experience completely off-the-grid. Guests stay in a large glamping tent on 20 acres. Perfect for couples, families, or groups seeking an escape into nature. Panoramic views of the Northern Arizona landscape and spectacular stargazing await you on our 20-acre working off-grid homestead! **PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BOOKING** Our secluded homestead is 6 miles outside of the town of Ash Fork. The yurt has 1 queen bed and 2 extra sleeping bags. It can get chilly at night, even in the summer, but we provide lots of sheets and blankets, plus a heater is available for rent if you need it! Guests will have access to a private firepit, composting toilet, and picnic table. Follow the paths around our 20 acres and take in the scenery and visit with our pigs, chickens, turkeys, and horses. Feel free to play all the board games and amenities provided in the yurt. We provide a solar-powered charging station for your phones or laptops. Your furry friends are more than welcome! Our homestead is 4 miles down a dirt road that can get rough. We DO NOT recommend a car to get to the location. You should have service with most phone carriers on the property. The directions and address provided in our check-in text should have you find our property with no issue. (Follow the address sent via text, day of arrival, from your host) During the dry season (summer months) there may be fire restrictions in place. The host will inform you if these fire restrictions are in place during your stay. Note that this listing is not wheelchair accessible. If you have any questions feel free to ask! ***YOU WILL RECEIVE A CHECK-IN TEXT DAY OF ARRIVAL WITH INSTRUCTIONS*** Nearby attractions: Bearizona- 28 mi Grand Canyon- 79 mi Prescott- 55 mi Town of Ash Fork & Historic Route 66 - 10 miLittle Tent on the Homestead is a truly authentic, immersive outdoor experience completely off-the-grid. Other things to note Given that our home is a working homestead, our days start early (generally 6 AM), so guests may see early activity at this hour of the day. We are located on free-range land so you will see cows grazing all over. We do see wild deer, coyotes, bobcats, and rabbits in the yard from time to time. None of them are dangerous, but they can be startling in the dark! Make sure to drive slowly and watch out for animals on our road. Pets are allowed, but please don't let them mess with the wildlife or our farm animals. Please realize that this is an off-grid experience in nature. You will encounter nature and things that come with nature like insects, weather, etc. We don't have enough power for you to use things like hair dryers or curling irons on our system. If you consider yourself "high maintenance" please stay somewhere else.
