Cosy cabin in the woods!
The Finnish cabin is a perfect escape for those rustically inclined. From the gorgeous picture window that makes you feel outdoors when you are in to the gorgeous fall colours, this is a nature escape to be loved. It’s got you covered but you need to be mindful that it is off grid & can only use electricity sparingly. Would definitely come again (but byob- that’s bring your own bedding!).

What an amazing gem here in Alberta! I went up for the night with the intention of hiking the day before a spending time in Castle provincial park! But honestly, plan enough time to just spend exploring the land, you might not even want to head to a provincial park. The place is gorgeous!! The cabin itself was super clean and was prepared for your off the grid stay! Duncan, the host was super friendly and helpful! He answered all my questions and send the necessary information before arrival! I will be coming back to stay for longer:)

Peaceful getaway
What a charming piece of paradise. It was just as the description said. We usually camp in tents, so this was a nice change for us! Our daughter and dog had a great time playing in the wild flowers. We will definitely return!

Come Prepared and You'll Enjoy It
We had a great time at this little cabin. If you love camping and know how to deal with changing weather conditions, have a habit to carry essentials on you all the time and know how to help yourself if something goes wrong or not as planned, you will enjoy the cabin a lot. There were 3 of us and a dog. We felt that this is an ideal group size for this small cabin. It was a cold weekend but the propane heater in the cabin and a lot of layers, ski clothing, blankets, and warm sleeping bags did the trick and it was very cozy. The cabin is located in a secluded pretty spot hidden from the road. It's a short walk from the road to the cabin in winter. We brought along a lot of stuff to make our glamping easier and care-free, like, for example, disposable plates to avoid doing dishes without access to running water. I would suggest bringing a plastic sled/toboggan for kids if you want to make less trips between your vehicle and the cabin. Both the cabin and the outhouse are new and clean. Bring the toilet paper. There are also a lot of opportunities for outdoor people around, and one day we drove to the Castle Ski Resort and the next day we skied the Syncline cross-country trails. It was a fantastic weekend
