Alberta's Nature Escape
working farm
This is a rural working farm, not an instagram-staged setting, so you'll be parked in the yard among the outbuildings and equipment. It was easy to find, there was plenty of space to park in the central driveway/yard, and we enjoyed a peaceful night. We were the first to stay and the private bathroom was not yet set up, but the property owner gave 24/7 access to a clean shared bathroom in his house. The host provided clear communication re the bathroom situation immediately after we made our reservation - so this was not a surprise when we arrived. Our stay coincided with strawberry season - so we enjoyed fresh berries with breakfast and free u-pick to take away some for our travels. The host communicated well as we were planning and met us when we arrived, as he lives on the property. There weren't a lot of options in this part of Alberta and we enjoyed not being crammed into an RV park.
