As a Heli-Ski Guide in the Chugach, I found my slice of Heaven.  I am excited to share it with you! Learn more about this land: Stunningly beautiful location in the heart of the Chugach Mountains ~45 miles east of Valdez, Alaska. Snow capped and glaciated mountains with active waterfalls surround this quaint valley known as the "Serendipity Homestead." Google search Mt. Billy Mitchell, Alaska, and you'll see what your campsite view will be, as this location is literally at the base of this gorgeous mountain. 2 rivers, the Tsina and Tiekel, and Stewart Creek (All glacially fed...) converge in this valley. Listen to the waterfalls cascading from the Mt. Billy Mitchell Glacier, or rapids of the 3 waterways, as you doze off to sleep. Nice camp - great firepit, picnic table. Can hear the stream, which is very nice. Can also hear traffic intermittently, but the camp is secluded and very peaceful!

Loved it
Tent
Rob was kind enough to message all the details and necessary info before I even got there, the site itself does indeed boast one of the nicest outhouses in AK. So glad I got to spend the weekend out at Ravens Den!

Great Camping!!
Tent
Robb was communicative, generous, and left us to our own devices on his large campsite! The outhouse was amazing and well-kept. There was no trash around the area and the road noise was overshadowed by the sounds of water rushing and birds chirping. Would definitely do again :)

Secluded and beautiful view
14 ft campervan
Very secluded with beautiful view of mountain peaks and glacier/ice field. 45 miles from Valdez but the drive in is amazing (even with road maintenance delays). Worthington Glacier is worth the hike. We took our kayak to Valdez Glacier Lake and was one of the high lights of our journey. Rob has made the best outhouse ever, and the site has plenty of firewood, fire pit, and table. A short walk to the bridge to view the creek is a must, and take the little dirt road to where the creek meets the river. 2 days of rain and they were rolling. Site is definitely for tents, truck camper, or van. 14' EPro took a Lot of maneuvering to get her in. We don't regret it at all.

Great Camp Spot!!!
Tent · With pets
Beautiful views of a glacier. Quaint, peaceful and secluded. The Camp area is well thought out with a very nice fire ring. The outhouse is clean and has everything you need including a wash station, just outside. Great spot if you're going to Valdez. Highly recommend!!
