The site of several reclaimed coal mines, the property surrounding Case Rock Cabin is named after Case Rock, a large rock formation on the Locust Fork River, which you can hike to and visit. The Evans family has transformed this rugged landscape into an 85 acre eco-retreat, with hiking trails and areas named after locations in The Lord of the Rings, and an off-grid cabin built by hand with materials carried board by board on top of a Ranger 1.25 miles into the woods. It is a location like no other!
This place was AWESOME!!! We enjoyed every second of it from the sounds of the river to the ranger ride in! Couldn’t have asked for a better trip!
