By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. The road/path out to the bunkie started as a well-made tractor path that has held up well over the years but has some rocks and bumps. Once through the gate it’s only a 1-minute drive to where you will park. This road may be a bit muddy! If you are looking for a Winter Bunkie getaway, we would be happy to host you; please note the following: - If there has been a lot of snow the private road from the street to the Bunkie is not plowed. Depending on the type of vehicle you are driving, you may have to park at the gate entrance and walk in (4-5min walk) to get to the Bunkie. - There is a wood fireplace in the Bunkie for sleeping, it will keep you very toasty. - There is lots of free wood available for an outside fire. But, if you aren't experienced in the woods you may want to keep your wandering short, to start, as you get familiar with the land. Dog friendly!! Weekend Trip to Forest Cabin

The forest cabin was everything I’d hope for and more. I wanted a place to get away and reconnect with nature and that’s exactly what I got out of my stay. I went for hikes through the property, got to play with the sheep and the dogs! And like others have said in their reviews, by far the best outhouse I’ve ever soon! I would 100% recommend staying here! I’ll be back to check it out in the spring or summer!

Everdale is a special place! The straw cabin is simple, comfortable and so quiet! I felt safe as a person going there solo and walked their well loved and cared for land extensively. It was an education as well in that they have a regenerative farm. Being a long time gardener myself, it was interesting to read the sign posts on my walk explaining different aspects of regenerative farming and the lands ecology. I'll definitely come back and in the colder months, be sure you're comfortable keeping the woodstove going, you may need to split wood, etc. Also, being solar powered, if it's a cloudy day, the lights may go off early. I was glad I brought a battery operated lamp. Great place, great feeling there.!

Pro: - nice host - electricity as well as full fridge. - Porta potty was a flush type so the smell was minimal - watch water skiing from front of cabin and there is nice shade there in the evening - there is a full screen sitting area with lawn furniture. great for keeping bugs off. - Fairly quiet site as long as water ski was not taking place - you can drive up to the Cabin - The pond is very close to main road to go into town. About 20min away from costo and bass pro shop. Con: -Fridge doors opened towards the wall making fridge access extremely limited - Cabin is tiny. when the couch is pulled out into a bed there is maybe 4 spots you can stand. - Cabin is "roughing it" I would have brought a cleaner and wipes to give it a quick wipe down before use. - No walking trails on property - Porta potty is a little ways away so be prepared to walk if you need the bathroom. - There is no latch on the Cabin door. either you lock it from the inside or the outside. it makes it hard if one person wants to nap in the afternoon.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and we absolutely loved it!!! If you want to get away somewhere where you don't see many people, this is the place to go! Although they waterside, it was quite quiet. We brought a 2 person floatie and sat in the water with that while watching the boat go by. We would 100% stay here again. Only criticism is that the porta potty is a trek away and the bbq was quite dirty so we didn't use it. We loved it there and the host was very quick to reply to my messages. I recommend this place 100%!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Amber’s cabin! The location was peaceful and beautiful, and the cabin itself was cozy and comfortable. Amber was such a thoughtful and kind host. It’s very private and quiet. Nice cozy cabin. Host is friendly and accommodating. Nice and relaxing at night time. All you can hear is crickets. Lots of wood. Lots of water. Solar panels kept lights on and devices charged and it wasn’t even that sunny lol. Will return if they’ll have me!
