Learn more about this land:Our property just north of the St. Lawrence River has three grassy campsites that can hold up to five guests each. We have sheep, chickens, ducks, and a miniature donkey, who we look after now that we are retired from our dairy farm. It’s a relaxing environment where you can build a campfire and explore nearby riverfront attractions like Morrisburg Beach. On-leash pets are welcome.

Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow.
You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here!
There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental.
There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings.
There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more!
Our goal is to provide a cozy, private, get-away for people who want to be able to pack a few clothes, some bug-spray/sunblock, some food, and head off to the woods. We have tried to think of everything you might need so you don't have to!

My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. We had an amazing time! Choleena and Larry were the perfect hosts- super helpful, non-intrusive and even told us we could check out at anytime on our last day. The cabin was also great, very clean and well taken care of. Super close to Perth which is a very charming town. We would certainly love to return!

This weekend was absolutely one of the most enjoyable weekends of my summer. It was so nice to unplug, Choleena & Larry ordered and set up an alternative to being able to have a fire during the ban, which was amazing, and it was so private and peaceful. I feel very refreshed and we certainly discussed coming back in the winter to further enjoy what the land has to offer. Not the mention the hosts are very thoughtful and ready to help. Thank you and cannot wait to return!

Camping on Kat’s property was amazing! We were a ground of 8 staying in the meadow and it was gorgeous and extremely private. There was another party at one of the other sites and we never even saw or heard them! We were able to take the kayaks out on the pond which was such a nice touch for those to be available for use! They leave lots of fire wood on the site for purchase which was a nice touch so we could help ourselves and enjoy a nice fire! We saw lots of frogs and interesting birds, and we really felt like we were completely off grid.
The porta-potty is a pretty standard porta potty, gets the job done and was well maintained. It a short distance down the road from the site and easy to find.
Additionally, we ended up having a dead car battery when we went to leave and Kat and Lionel were quick to come help us, and when just a boost wouldn’t cut it they actually took our batteries for a few hours to charge them. We ended up having to leave the car their overnight until we could get a new battery and they were incredibly kind and understanding, even offered us food and drinks and said we could stay over an extra night. The kindness and hospitality they showed to us has definitely gained them return customers! We can’t wait for our next stay with you guys! :)

We had a great experience at The Meadows. The campsite is beautiful, quiet and private with freedom to roam trails and woods. Close enough to amenities, lakes and campgrounds to explore without being surrounded by dozens of other campers.
The host, Kat, was super easy to deal with. All around an awesome experience.

What a wonderfully unexpected delight! We booked at the last minute. Marie and Pieter could be less fussed. So welcoming and warm. They are the kind of folks you are better for spending time with, whether a little or a lot. We were offered our choice of just about anywhere to park. We are boondockers, but a large shower and bathroom are always a nice perk to a place. We were not disappointed. Marie pointed us to a great little spot that was perfectly level and right next to the bath/shower. The tiny house that was adjacent to the bathroom was vacant and we had the chance to sit on the porch and look at the rising crescent moon. The property is beautiful, easy access, and has great hosts. I can only imagine how wonderful this spot would be for a family. Make sure you plan for a longer stay than just over night.

We loved our stay apart from the fact that it was very very hot du ring out trip, small curtains in the Windows would definitely help! If we had known, we would have brought something to put in the windows to block the Sun to enter, escpecially in the morning. Everything was clean and there is everything you need for your stay. It's a great peaceful place to enjoy and relax. We appreciated being able to go to the two nearby national parks, Silver Lake and Sharbot Lake. The owners are kind and accessible. Thank you for all, you have a wonderfull place!!! 🥰

This was a great experience. Choleena and Larry were wonderful. The site is fully equipped so that it provides a full outdoor camping out feeling with all the comfort of cabin living. Site was clean and well organized and we had so much fun. Cooking, lounging and star gazing by the fire is a true relaxation. Would highly recommend.

Exactly what we were looking for. Very private. The cabin/bed area was perfect for the two of us. Wooden bundles were already ready for us at the fire pit. Had a covered area to sit at while it rained and we played some games there. Bbq and stove are perfect to cook with. We had a perfect few days at the cabin. Host are very kind and have thought of everything you need and it’s all available for use in the cabin. We will be back.

Choleena & Larry are fantastic hosts! Their property is amazing, welcoming & has everything you could need or want.
We were greeted just as we pulled into the driveway by Larry. He lead us up to the campsite in our vehicle, its an easy & beautiful drive through their property.
Everything in the campsite is labeled & there is a great manual that shows you where everything is and how to use it. A great amount of time & care has done into setting up this Glamping site & it shows!
We'll definitely be back to camp here again. Thanks a tonne Choleena & Larry

We just loved this site. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. Pieter graciously walked out kiddos through each step of his foresting process in his workshop: how he takes a tree from a living entity to a completed picnic table or home. The bathroom is clean and lovely. They even let us shower and gave us towels since no one else was there (even tho it was not technically included). Maria's garden is practically a botanical garden. Each Mother's Day, her children gift her with unique plants, so you'll find species you've never seen before! The play sets and gazebo seating area were very useful. Also love the nearly off-the-grid style living, with solar panels, etc. Very well thought-out and carefully managed in a friendly, relaxed way. They also have mini-cabins on the property that they Airbnb out that are adorable! There's a very rustic short hike out back that has gorgeous wild mushrooms and other unique plants. Their fire-pits are wind-proof, which was convenient when we stayed. There are even pots, pans, mugs, and an outdoor kitchen! Really enjoyed hearing their stories of immigration from Holland to Canada. The kids liked gathering the eggs from the chickens. We were going to cook them for b-fast, but then it rained, so... And they liked watching up-close as Henry the donkey herded & safeguarded their sheep. So interesting!

Just got back from the most peaceful getaway hosted by the lovely Chloeena and Larry — and wow, they’ve truly thought of everything! The cabin, the outhouse, the shower… every detail is so well designed and blends right into the natural beauty around you.
If you're craving a break from the buzz of daily life, this is the spot to disconnect and soak in the sounds of nature (birds chirping included — free of charge!). It’s the kind of place where your phone takes a backseat, but you still get just enough Rogers signal to check the basics and avoid full-on digital withdrawal. No doomscrolling here — just de-stressing.

Maria and Pieter were both delightful and opened up their farm to us. We enjoyed meeting Henry the donkey that takes care of the sheep and watching the antics of their chickens. One of their cats came visiting us to enjoy head rubs. While drinking coffee looking out over one of the fields we saw a red fox running along. The site is beautiful and is one of our best experiences on our current road trip. We would definitely go back and stay there again without question.
