Spring Arbour Magic Forest &Trails!

Pitch your tent in our picturesque Carolinian forest in the heart of Norfolk county! Choose from 9 tent sites and 1 lodging site spread across 10 acres of wooded area on our 49 Acre farm. Well-kept trails to explore throughout. We are proud to have made the runner-up list for best Hipcamp in Ontario 2023

The terrain is mostly flat but interesting. Campsites are private with good separation from each other. Sites contain a picnic table and fire pit. Campfires are permitted according to our approved burn plan before midnight. 

5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. 

FREE Firewood can be gathered on the forest floor or pay for on-site pre-cut wood. Outhouses are close to campsites....but not too close 💩

Port Rowan is only 12 minutes away by car, most amenities can be purchased only 1 minute away at the local Busy Bee gas station.

We are situated in the middle of a Recreation Hotspot! Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer

We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company. 

Birders Paradise!

The ‘Long Point Birding Area’ in Norfolk County is one of Canada’s premier birding locales. With over 400 species of birds observed, Long Point looms large as one of the most exciting places on the continent to observe our rich birdlife.

There are looping trails through the forest for campers to explore. The forest is dense and provides plenty of shade.

This is another site located at the entrance to the forest. It can easily hold 2-3 tents. 

The outhouse is a refurbished chicken coop. Good ventilation and battery-operated pot lights inside for nighttime use.

This could be your sunrise.  Wake up beside a 100 year old barn that boasts two twin tiled  silos…possibly the only remaining in Ontario

The Farm

It was 1984 when John found his ‘diamond in the rough’, 20 acres with an orchard on the outskirts of Brantford. 
O.K., so the house was nothing to write home about but perfect for building a construction yard…no neighbors except for the family across the road that used their property to build log homes.
By 1987 the old house was gone, a new one was being built and a shop for working on heavy equipment had been located about 200 ft. from Dr. the back door.
It wasn’t until 1996 that things changed very much. 
Yes, the property around the house had benefitted from a wide array of trees and shrubs that John saved from the construction/demolition jobs he had done and that still thrive today but no big projects (except for equipment purchases) were ongoing.
A chance meeting with the neighbor across the road one day resulted in the following dinner conversation, ‘How was your day’ I chirped. ‘Not bad, so-and-so didn’t come in; the truck broke down and I took it for repair; I bought the property across the road, and oh, yeah I’ll need a ride after dinner to pick up the truck’ was John’s casual reply. ‘What was that’? I pressed. ‘Yes, I need a ride after dinner to pick up the truck’ he repeated with a bit more volume. Of course like anyone, I had questions, ‘Do you want peas or corn with dinner’? ‘What time do you want to go to get the truck’? 
‘The property across the road’, 10 acres, still has the 4 storey barn with its twin tiled silos which was built in 1914 and the big white house with wrap around porch that once was home to a Doctor and his family. Built so the Doctor could see his patients in the front with the family living in the back was very common in the day.
Things remained relatively peaceful until 2000 when after studying alpacas for more than 6 years I bought our first three. 

Back in 2000 alpacas and llamas were not frequently seen on farms and because they could been seen from the road they received A LOT of attention. 

People driving by would stop and ask about them, ask if they could take a picture or two and that was when I would hear over and over again ‘You have a beautiful place here, I wish I/we could stay’. 

Well, if you want to visit and stay in the city it’s doable, we call it a hotel. But visiting a farm and staying well, that isn’t so easy.
Each year we would see more and more families coming to ‘The Farm’ as they would call it. 
Some came to see the alpacas and horses, some came for a stroll and to check out the horse drawn milk and bread delivery wagons, some to have family birthday parties, others to have engagement/wedding/Christmas card pictures…and so many asked if there was any way they could spend a day or two.
In 2021 during a conversation with a friend I mentioned we were in the process of gutting the 1100 sq. ft. space downstairs and turning it into an Airbnb! Right away she said, ‘I don’t know why you don’t have a Hipcamp? You’ve got that great area by the new barn that Hipcampers would love’! 
After a little investigation I found out what a Hipcamp was…and as they say, the rest is future.

This is a secluded and quiet property tucked back off the road in the bush. Lots of room to roam, trees to relax under and let your dogs run. We have three dogs that roam the grounds and are a welcoming committee. 
We have lots of sites tucked into the greenery for privacy. We operate a vintage trailer restoration shop on site and have lots of interesting units around. 

Lots of firewood available, a shower and bathroom indoors along with fridges, coffee maker, microwave and fresh water for some guests.

Reis Kamp Country Retreat

Our home is located on the edge of elmira. We live on 14 acres.

We built a 1 acre campground on our property which also has a few trails for you to wander. The property is great for walking your dog leash free. Close to amenities and town but also feels secluded. 

Your campground includes

- large cut grass field 
- great for dogs and walking dogs 
- abuts farm land with lots of privacy
- no hydro available at main campground but for an extra charge I can provide a generator
- porta potty on site which is very clean.
- ability to park on grass or gravel
- depending on time of year pond, it does dry up but dogs love swimming in it.

- 2 minutes to groceries and liquor stores, restaurants, Tim Hortons, Dog Park etc.

The property can accommodate multiple camping reservations but for now we are only accepting 1 at a time on a a 5 acre portion of our 14 acres. The pond does dry up as the summer goes on as of right now until we renovate it, And we do not allow swimming in it (Animals are ok). 

No need for a grill with this amazing fire pit.

Greener Pastures Eco Farm

Our 75 acre ecological farm is just south-east of Woodstock, ON, with easy access to the 401 & 403.  Camp out with views of rolling pastures of cattle and free range chickens.  Explore the 25 acre bush, where you are sure to see our heritage pastured pigs rooting or lazing around.  You will be greeted by our German shepherds, Ruby and Brooks, when you arrive. 
Experience a taste of place by visiting our on-farm store featuring our 100% grass fed beef & and other heritage pastured meat products, as well as a large variety of locally produced groceries.  A quiet, beautiful space to explore awaits you.  Farm tours or picnics are available for purchase prior to your arrival as extras in your hipcamp booking.  

While here, be sure to visit the On-Farm Shoppe for fresh eggs, meats, and other great local products.

Mountain Farm

A beautiful, peaceful oasis with 7 acres on the Niagara Escarpment, in the middle of Silver Creek Conservation Area. Hike in from the Bruce Trail (the Roberts Side Trail runs to the property).

Enjoy our trees and gardens that surround our charming old stone farmhouse. Trampoline available (with permission).

Trees, field, wildlife, campfire - our small piece of paradise. Near horseback riding. Close to Georgetown, Glen Williams, and Erin.

Camper vans and RVs may park in driveway (not long term), and there is room for several tents.

If you are through-hiking and want some meat or other goodies for the campfire, we have a grill available. Let us know what you'd like a week in advance, and we'll have it ready for you at cost (cash only, please).

Sweet Pond Camping

A peaceful nature space with a large magical pond (the size of an olympic swimming pool) to bask in, plus a 44 acre forest to roam.

You will have access to clean water to swim in (no soaps or detergents in the pond please, we also swim in the pond regularly so we might see you in there, the pond is about 40 meters from our house, no fishing in the pond), clean water to drink + wash dishes in, lots of safe flat parking for cars and camper vans, lots of safe flat grass for tents, a giant forest, views of a few beautiful horses doing their own thing on our pastures (do not feed them or go within the fenced off horse areas), loads of birds, dragonflies, butterflies and more!

We require quiet after 9pm, and before 9am. No excessive substance use please. No substance use if you are going to swim.

Private simple camping toilet/outhouse setup with view of nature. Water for washing hands. No shower.

We moved here because we thought it was beautiful, and we hope to share that with others. We live here, and enjoy the water and land every day. Looking forward to welcoming you and sharing our space!

Secluded Starry Nights

Located in the hamlet of Mosborough on 113 acres, this is a working farm with open fields, an old orchard, and 27 acres of forest.

We are a short drive to Guelph Lake, the Elora Gorge, Guelph to Goderich rail trail, and a 25-minute drive to St Jacob's farmers market. And a 1.4 km walk to a small country market and bakery. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.

We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping.  Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden.

A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October.  And please note that we are located beside an active rail line that is used by the Go Train, VIA Rail and freighters, there are trains that pass throughout the night.

A 2 night stay is required for summer weekends.

Faron Woods Farm

Come join us and watch this beautiful 10 acre hazlenut farm come back to life!

We have a 1/4 acre, deep pond that is great for swimming, and large open field for activities and festivities. Over time we will begin to add new structures and and entertainment and will be updating our listing to reflect our progress

Currently we will be hosting basic camping, or pop up trailers while we work to add infastructure to support larger campers and multi site use

Elevate your experience - we can setup for special events such as small weddings, LARP battles, paintball and more! We are excited to hear all of your ideas!

While we do not currently have a bathroom setup, we will adress this on a case by case basis for now

Welcome to our private  family farm!

Enjoy beautiful scenery and quiet camping as only 3 groups at any time and lots of spots to set up! You can camp right on the waterfront or on the upper deck area. The sites provide river access and are a great place for kayaking, there are no motorboats permitted. Rentals include a limited number of kayaks (Pickup at set areas for kayaking, contact for more info) There is a&nbsp;horseshoe pit and&nbsp;propane bbq to use. If booked generator as well. Sites have campfire pits. Each area has its own outhouse, which comes with tp.&nbsp;Pets on-leash permitted.

While visiting there is lots to do and see!&nbsp;You can enjoy trail walking, fishing. and we are within half an hour&nbsp;to shopping. You may get lucky and see bald eagles! We're in   the nesting area where they hunt,&nbsp;

Little White Farmhouse

Welcome to Little White Farmhouse!  

This is a great place to park your RV as a place to rest on route to your final destination.  

We are surrounded by farmers fields and located on Norfolk Street South/HWY 24, Simcoe, ON.

We are located near the Lynn Valley Trail and only 10 minutes to Port Dover, 20 minutes to Turkey Point and 35 minutes to Long Point.

Our paved driveway is the perfect place to park your RV.  Your front door will open onto the grassy area overlooking the farmers field.  We have beautiful sunsets.

Campfires are permitted before midnight provided Norfolk County isn't under a burn ban.

Furry friends are welcome provided they stay on a leash.  We have two dogs that will stay in our fenced backyard.

5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks.

We are only 1 minute to Sobeys ,Tim Horton's and laundromat.

Husky Alpaca Ranch

Century farm, cropped fields, naturally filled pond. Some bushes at the back that are home to a wide variety of wildlife.

Camp amongst open skies, perfect for star viewing at night.

The semi-private site provides an open area to pitch your tent or set up your small camper. There is a pond on-site that has fish in it. You will&nbsp;hear the bullfrogs and cicadas in the evening. Wake up to the&nbsp;stunning sunrises and fall asleep to sunsets over the fields. Fires are permitted within local regulations.  4-wheel drive is recommended. There is cell reception in the area.

There are opportunities to visit the alpacas and huskies up at the barn! The towns of&nbsp;Caledonia, Cayuga, and Binbrook are nearby for all your camping needs. Hiking, fishing, and kayaking (near to Grand River) opportunities in the area as well!

The site is perfect for catching the sunset towards one end of the field.

The Alpacas are very curious of the visitors who come by to say hi. 

Taryn provides a decent fire pit and firewood upon request. Great for those cooler nights! 

The site is a short walk from the suggested parking spot. However, campers are allowed to park closer to unpack gear. 

If you position your tent right, you don't even need to leave the comfort of your sleeping bag to enjoy the sunrise. 

The listing is easy to find with this shop at the end of the driveway. 

Visitors are greeted by Luna, their 'grandma' husky. A very sweet girl with lots of love to give.

Braemar Valley Nature Sanctuary

A nature enthusiasts private 18 acre backcountry-style getaway. Located in the beautiful Braemar Valley- 10 minutes from Woodstock, Ontario. Pine/oak/walnut stands, babbling brook, wildflower fields. 3+ km's of hiking trails through the forest, along the fields, across the creek and overlooking the valley. Cyclists can try out the km's of scenic gravel roads in the area.

The camp site is&nbsp;located in&nbsp;a creek-side wildflower field surrounded by silver&nbsp;maples, cottonwoods and pine stands and&nbsp;has a thunder box,&nbsp;&nbsp;picnic table, and fire pit. Pets are welcome&nbsp;so&nbsp;long&nbsp;as&nbsp;they&nbsp;are controlled and cleaned&nbsp;up after.

Fitz Farm Manor Camping

Welcome to Fitz Farm Manor — a peaceful countryside retreat built with love and care. After Gerry and his dad sold their garden centre and nursery, we built this home and raised our four boys here (they like to joke they were our first Airbnb guests — the non-paying kind!). Now retired, Gerry from lawn care and Rosemary from managing a seniors’ complex, we spend our days gardening, harvesting vegetables, and preserving the bounty of our land. We love hosting friends and family, and you might meet a few during your stay.

Our property is nestled in a quiet rural area where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings settle into the gentle chorus of crickets and tree frogs. A walk down our peaceful road takes you past dairy farms and fields of corn, soybeans, and hay — often without passing a single car.

The grounds are designed for gathering and relaxation. Each summer, we host family reunions and church picnics with up to 75 guests enjoying the heated pool, hammocks, patio, and spacious lawn. Campers have access to a large grassy area bordered by maples, oaks, and a wooded stretch to the west — perfect for pitching tents or parking campers.
