This 3.5 acres of woodlot, situated in "Cottage Country" Nova Scotia is home to my canvas wall tent and a couple of sites for pitching tents. The tent is cozy and has a woodstove for 4 season enjoyment, mattresses for single or double bed configuration. This is part of "Cottage Country" and there are plenty of trails to hike or ski. There is lake access, but it isn't a great lake for swimming.

Andromeda House sits on 30 beautiful acres, stretching from our waterfront to the top of the Mountain. Perched dramatically above the Annapolis Basin, the views here are truly awe-inspiring—and only get more breathtaking as one explores higher up on the property. Our path network is maintained for access to the very satisfying “Upper Lookout”. This path continues and you might just find your hosts working on this area. There are also various mountain access roads provide terrific hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Photography, rock hounding, mushroom hunting and star gazing are ideal activities. Birders in particular should be pleased. The property has been in our family for generations and an old sled path winds through and up it. We are also developing a spring-fed swimming pond this summer. Currently, we have new fields of sunflowers and wildflowers to attract pollinators—bumble bees, hummingbirds and monarch butterflies are especially abundant here. Wild apple trees abound and there is a stand of old maple trees we will be tapping next spring. Beyond that is a mature Beech and Poplar forest. We are within walking distance to Victoria Beach, an authentic fishing village nestled at the base of the north mountain and surrounded by the Annapolis Basin, the Digby Gut and the Bay of Fundy. Wow the pictures looked good but being there was a whole other kind of beauty. The spot is tranquil and perfect, Karen and Ben have everything you could possibly need! The cabin was nice and cozy at night and the view of the stars is incredible! Definitely already planning a return trip!

3 nights at Grumpy Bear Hollow

Our family of four enjoyed the solitude this cabin on a small lake offered for a much needed staycation. We enjoying resting in the hammock and the gentle rhythm the decks rocking chair provided. We brought our own, but there are several fishing rods available and ready to use. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Looks like there’s going to be some upcoming renovations to the cabin so we can’t wait to see what’s coming up next at Grumpy Bear Hollow!

Owl's Hollow is the perfect place for a getaway - Karen and Ben have truly thought about everything! In the Hut there was a book about forest bathing, and their property is truly the epitome of it - peaceful, serene and therapeutic. The beautiful views, steps from access to the lake and the added conveniences (chairs, structures, water, etc.) is unbeatable. Karen was quick to respond, kind and very accommodating. Looking forward to coming back!

Very nice camp site with excellent views. 2 kayaks provided for great lake fishing on Tupper Lake (YellowPerch & SmallmouthBass). Would recommend for anyone who likes remote camping, fishing & wildlife incounters.

3 nights at Luxury Shanty near Keji Park N.S.

I was so fortunate to find this listing last minute as being near Keji was one of the reasons for our trip to NS. Patricia met us and showed us the site in person which was very helpful. It was way more luxurious than I expected! A foot pump sink to wash hands! Electric pump for 5 gal water jugs! A jackery type battery to charge things! The lake was right outside the door and there were sitting areas and fire pits as well as a grill. I wish we could have stayed longer as it was a bit rainy and we didn't have time to enjoy the lake. Everything was nicely organized and even in the 40s (fahrenheit) one night we had enough blankets. Would love to come back!

If you’re looking for someone to get away and be purely immersed in nature, this is the spot. It was so peaceful for myself, my partner and our 2 dogs. The road getting to the cabin made us a little worried about getting there as it’s very narrow, windy and gravel, but we are so glad we did it. Karen, the host, had everything we needed there, from roasting sticks, to camp cots. We got out in the canoe and swam around the very peaceful lake. Even though there was people staying at the other accommodations there, they were far away and we had lots of privacy. Thank you again for everything and we will definitely be back.

Had an amazing time at Owls Hollow! The spot is incredibly scenic and quiet with very few surrounding cottages. Would highly recommend taking out the boats and exploring the rest of the lake. Directions and signage is very clear, had no problem getting there or finding anything once arrived. Would highly recommend this wonderful spot!
