If you’re longing to disconnect from the insanity which has become our world, come visit our family-run farmstead. Switch off your devices and sink into nature’s balanced harmony — fresh air, quiet trails, and star-filled skies await.

Conveniently located in rural New Brunswick, our farmstead is about an hour’s drive from three major cities and the stunning Fundy Coast. Here, rolling hills of wildflowers open into forested trails perfect for a peaceful hike or a casual wander.

When the sun goes down, the star gazing is spectacular — with almost zero light pollution, our night skies rival those of the open prairies.

Cool off in the summer at Belyea’s Cove or Crafts Cove, just a 10-minute drive away — both ideal for swimming and boat launching. Albright Brook runs right through the property, offering hidden sit-spots to relax, meditate, or cast a line for trout in season.

Within five minutes you’ll find two waterfalls worth exploring, and just 15 minutes away, the fully stocked country store in Cambridge-Narrows has beer, wine, and spirits for your evening by the campfire. Hungry for more? Country-style restaurants serving hearty roadhouse meals are just 20 minutes from our gate.

Learn the art of homesteading with hands-on activities and projects guided by your hosts. These sessions are free and can be arranged anytime during your stay — fair warning: you might get dirty, build muscles, and leave inspired! 👩‍🌾🙋‍♀️

Maple Lane Hive and Home

This campsite is tucked away on the back side of our apiary and hobby farm. A hidden treasure if you are looking for seclusion, peace and tranquility.  Enjoy sitting pond side after a busy day of traveling or take a walk through our farm fields and our wooded paths.  We are 25+ minutes to St. Martins, 30+ minutes to Fundy National Park, 35 minutes to Saint John and 1 hr drive to both Fredericton and Moncton. 

Keep in mind, we are a beekeeping operation and although there are no hives in the near vicinity you may want to refrain from staying with us if you have an allergy to bees.

**You need an SUV or AWD vehicle to access this property usually. We don't recommend small cars.

Dream Seed Farm

Enjoy fresh veggies from the garden and have the comforts of home with use of a large picbic table outside or dining table in the yurt.  Guests are welcome to sleep in the yurt on a first come/first serve basis at no extra charge to make camping easy. The toilet and shower located in our home are open for you to use as needed. WIFI can be used on the porch or if you are parking an RV near the house. 

I work from home sewing Hanging HUGS custom luxury hammocks and can teach you how to sew your own, or offer what I have in stock. An expedition sea kayaker and expert rock climber, with more than 25 years experience giving clients a unique look at our province, it's my pleasure to introduce you to favourite spots.  We also own an off-grid camping area 45 minutes south close to Fundy Trail Provincial Park and have made a hiking trail to an epic location which I have been developing for rock climbing over 10 years. Pull a kayak to the river in ten minutes or try a loop trail around the property on a fat bike. You could easily fill a weekend here with outdoor activities and make memories you'll never forget.

Just around the corner from Grand Lake, our boat "Seas the Day" is perfectly positioned to host a cruise(added fee) in addition to using the sailboat as a cabin for the night. 

We have six sea kayaks to rent out... and the river is alive with birds, beavers and muskrats that are fun to observe. 

Wickham Nature Retreat

Off grid location, complete privacy, bring your own tent/RV, nice pond for swimming on the property, lots of land to be explored, Clean outhouse available on site. The large St. John river is only 5 min down the road with a docking area, perfect for boating, kayaking, fishing, ect. There are wild strawberry/ blackberry/ blueberry plants everywhere on the property, guest are welcome to enjoy!

Pitch your tent on the giant lawn, close to the running stream that runs down the property to the river or by the firepit or be more adventurous and pitch it on one of the private three wooded plateaus (seasonal) or right by the St John River, up to you. Newly planted butterfly garden. Plenty of wildlife. Farm fresh eggs available for purchase on site.

Funny Farm Homestead

We are a homestead with Goats, Chickens, turkeys, quail, Ducks and other livestock. We have a big garden and fruit or hard in it's infancy. That only occupies a few acre but have so much more. We have a second path on our property which leads halfway to a clearing affectionately as the Shire. That's the area we have that's nice and private. There is a river nearby and the community of Stanley for all your needs.

LaPlante Farm

Camping spots located on our property, just 15 minutes from downtown Fredericton. Perfect place to stop along on your road trip through. Ground is rocky (it is a new property and we are working on it) so car or rv camping is ideal however you are more than welcome to set up a tent. Pet friendly aslong as they dont chase the chickens!

Othala Viking Homestead

Notched in the foothills of Skedaddle ridge in the northern Appalachian mountains. In a forest of conifers, cedar and alder thicket, where a Viking long hall casts a Scandinavian aesthetic to the homestead. Part of a small ecological community, and near the Wolastuq/Saint John river for water sports.

The Old Canoe

Experience this gem of nature!&nbsp; "The Old Canoe" is located in Cumberland Bay, New Brunswick, Canada (a small community centrally located between the major cities of Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John).

This shore-front property is located along the Cumberland Bay Stream, which flows through marsh wetlands and empties into Grand Lake (the largest fresh water lake in New Brunswick).&nbsp; Don’t forget your camera!&nbsp; There's lots to see in nature!

We named our property "The Old Canoe", inspired by the old canoes we used while growing up.

Although this is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, you don't HAVE to be one to appreciate these unique vacation rentals, which provide a unique semi-off-grid experience with nature.

It's a perfect couples retreat, or single's escape.

Fancy Outhouses are provided near your rental and near the Shore, and an Outdoor Heated Shower in the forest promises a refreshing experience. 

Guests enjoy FREE use of our shore, canoes, and kayaks (depending on weather conditions). SWIMMING IS NOT ADVISED, as it is somewhat muddy/marshy, and shallow ... but it's PERFECT for small watercraft and fishing! 

WHAT TO PACK:&nbsp; Food and ice in a cooler, and your clothes!&nbsp; You may also want to bring rubber boots or water shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellant.

Rentals are stocked with just about everything else you'll need for a great stay, including propane BBQ and burner.

The Orchard - Bell Tent Glamping NB

Located only 25 minutes from Fredericton, NB, this sprawling old-growth apple orchard features 3 privately placed bell tents, a hot-tub, barbecues, and indoor lodge with kitchen, bathroom, games room, and library space.

Described by a past guest as "something out of a fairytale", the orchard is defined by towering old-growth apple trees, a meandering brook with multiple bridge crossings, meadows brimming with lupins and golden rod, the remnants of stone fences from when the land was farmed, patches of wild berries, and a growing network of trails connecting all these enchanting elements.

Perhaps even more beautiful after sunset, strings of fairy lights illuminate the paths to the tent sites and fireflies fill the void in between. An unofficial dark sky sanctuary, you will enjoy unparalleled views of the stars while your ears are treated to the distant calls of bullfrogs and the hoot of owls flying overhead.
