Weekend Trip to Stellar Nest at the End of the Road
A lovely private and peaceful retreat.
The hosts take special care in providing a well-equipped and comfortable tiny home with an expansive deck, bbq and seating.

We had a fantastic stay at Alpaca Woodland! Roger was an above and beyond host- he came out during a thunderstorm to offer extra shelter for our tent. The animals were so cool to meet and the location was wonderful for exploring the Qualicum Beach area. We’ll be back and would highly recommend!

Great secluded campsite just off the old highway. Roger was a fantastic host and his little farm is very private and has lots of shade on a hot August day. He made sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Can't wait to come back. His animals are super cute too.

Roger was very friendly and easygoing, his property was absolutely lovely! We camped in the middle of a field surrounded by friendly alpacas and goats. They were so sweet and we had a great time hanging out with them!

We absolutely loved the place. Roger was sonmond to welcome us and introduce us to the alpacas and goats. Our kids loved feeding them and the lot was also very beautiful and remote. We would loved to stay for more nights but we had to catch the ferry and could only stay for one night.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. We were there for 6 days with our kids. The goats, alpacas, wild ducks, owls, ZIP line were great entertainment for the kids. The kids were incredibly happy and so were we. Quiet, not hot as there are lots of trees, the smell of sequoia when lying in the hammock, the huge Camp site space, it was a heavenly vacation for us. Roger, the owner of the Camp, is a wonderful person, as is his family. He advised us to visit places that not many people talk about, but they were awesome. Without Roger's advice we would not have found them. Thank you for the warm welcome, I hope we will come back to this campsite again.

Wir haben die 2 Tage auf Rogers Farm sehr genossen. Roger hat uns irre viel erklärt und uns auch mit Trinkwasser versorgt.
Mein Sohn und ich haben die Alpakas sehr geliebt, wir durften sie füttern und streicheln. Sie haben ein riesiges Farmgelände für sich und manchmal kamen sie auf unserem Campingplatz vorbei (wir hatten extra das Tor aufgemacht). Abends kamen Eulen zu uns, das war ebenfalls sehr spannend!

Roger and his family were very nice and accommodating- out rig was bigger than had been on site before but Roger squeezed us in no problem which we really appreciated, since a different place (not Roger’s) we had originally booked with, had up and cancelled our reservation two days before we were leaving, which left us scrambling.
We camped in the field, it was private, with plenty of shade available. The fire pit was great! The goats and alpacas had a lot of personality and it added to the fun. I’d stay here again in the future :) Bonus was picking tons of salmon berries and thimble berries along the railway trail.

2 nights at Alpaca Haven
What a phenomenal experience! Communication was responsive, and Roger lead us to our site.
We had the farthest campground, which is nearest to the shared outhouse. Since that site is so close to a small water source I thought we would have serious issues with mosquitoes, but even with zero wind that did not turn out to be an issue.
We really, really loved the spaciousness of this site. It was huge! And the grass was green in the middle of summer! With two tables we had enough space to spread out. The benches of the picnic table and two chairs by the fire were more than enough seating.
The Berkey provided us with filtered, nice tasting water, and there were two extra water jugs provided to fill the Berkey as needed. The fire pit seemed like it would've been awesome, but we did not use it.
The lights that turned on at night to illuminate the path to the outhouse was a really nice touch.
But the best part was that both mornings the alpacas and goats slowly wandered through our site to get to the back woodlands. Wow. How cool is that!?
We enjoyed this site so much that we actually shorted our local sightseeing to be at the camp more hours. Would definitely return!!
A note on the outhouse: when we were there the other campsite had their own toilet setup so we had the outhouse to ourselves. If there are multiple campsites booked, any camper who needs to use the outhouse will be walking through that last site. Just a heads up. We were super lucky to have it to ourselves.

We would like to thank Roger for his hospitality. During our visit, we spent quite some time just relaxing on the campsite, which is very picturesque. We had a lot of fun feeding the goats and alpacas, and our 2-year-old enjoyed the yard so much that he didn't want to leave - many thanks to Roger and his family for sharing! Nearby are incredibly many beautiful places to visit, including scenic waterfalls and a beach with reasonably warm water. Roger was always very helpful. We hope to come back!

We loved camping with the alpacas and goats, but Smudge, the dog, is the absolute best! We got everything as promised and more! Roger and family were so hospitable! Outhouse was charming with absolutely no odor. Great experience for us!

Our experience at Rodger’s property with the Alpacas and goats was amazing! We had the area all to ourselves us and nature! We enjoyed the animals and had a nice campfire and we also were graced with 2 owls sitting on the fence!

My sister and I spent 3 nights here for a little reunion, and it was a great fit. We got to enjoy all the fun parts of camping, while having more privacy than at a provincial park and being closer to the towns we wanted to explore.
Fire pit, hammock, lots of open space with trees for shade or rain protection,
Alpacas and goats were charming and sweet, and there were many birds to listen to.
Roger was friendly and accommodating, would stay here again :)
