The little vintage trailer is nestled into a small mossy clearing surrounded by cedar, fir, hemlock, spruce and yew trees. There is a vista to the east to greet the morning light and the rising moon, while the trees offer shade during the hottest part of the day. Beautiful White lake, with a turquoise green shoreline, a popular lake for paddling and fishing. is only 2 minutes from your camp. Boat and kayak rentals, a boat launch and parks, a bike and disc golf park and a popular hiking trail to the White Lake lookout are within minutes of the property. The many miles of shoreline of famous Shuswap lake, can be accessed 10 minutes by car. A local gourmet grocery store which includes a liquor outlet, produce, bakery and deli departments, ready to eat hot and cold menu items and gas station, and several lakeside patio licensed restaurants offering great breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are a 10 minute scenic drive away. The town of Sorrento, 15 minutes away, offers services including a drug store, hardware stores, several pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, a library, local gallery, and a Saturday morning Farmer's market. Salmon Arm is 20 minute drive, with full services, Walmart, Canadian Tire, unique shops, restaurants, art gallery, wharf etc. You will be the only campers on the property. Your camp is well away from public roads and offers treed privacy but your hosts, longtime owners who live in a 'tiny home', are nearby to offer assistance or information as needed. Deer, wildlife and a wide variety of birds are regular visitors. The gravel driveway is 1/4 mile long and up hill through the forest and is a bit bumpy. if there is any doubt as to your vehicle's clearance we suggest you walk the driveway first to decide if you want to bring your car up. Please note: this is camping…no potable water is supplied, so bring your own drinking water. There are no shower facilities. There are two single bunks for sleeping. Bring your own bedding and towels. A limited selection of dishes and cook ware is supplied. Guest wifi available.

We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 10 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. Our current project is building our “aging in place” hemp lime cottage. Once completed it is our plan to build an in ground greenhouse. Additional future plans include building for a music studio, further development of our food forest, and the offering of self development training workshops. Additional camping/rv sites will be made available in the coming years. We look forward to offering fellow nature lovers an opportunity to appreciate the benefits and peace Braeheart Nature Retreat has to share. Whether you are seeking a more private get away or an opportunity to experience our developing homestead ideas/practices, we are devoted to meeting your desires. We are located 2km from Harald Provincial Pk. and the world renowned Margaret Falls. Our nearest town for services, Salmon Arm, is 25km away, and is host to the annual Roots and Blues Festival. Swimming, hiking, kayaking, wine touring, and weekly farmers markets are a few of the many local activities to enjoy. Those interested in a work/ stay opportunity are welcome to contact us to collaborate. We look forward to your stay with us! New photos with upgraded amenities will be added later this spring. Facilities on the campsite will be shared with a max. of 4 persons at any one time during the open season this year.
