The Gertie Bus is located a 5 min walk to a beautiful white sand beach (at low tide). There are walking trails all around and lots of beach access. Tucked into the front of our property in the quiet of Gabriola island you’ll find the converted Gertie bus with all the amenities you need. The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out. The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee. Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away. There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets. The home itself has a pottery studio on the main floor with a full time studio Practice. Give Paige a ring if you’d like a tour, she’s usually working away. Our family lives on the top floor. Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts. Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

Hi, my name is Dave. My family and I would like to welcome you to Nile Point, a secluded campsite located on 20 acres of privately owned, oceanfront property on Nelson Island, BC. I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and some paddleboards. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. We can take you in to town during your stay for an additional charge of 50$ per direction. We've secured exclusive moorage at a private dock in Egmont. This is where you will park. 10 acres of untouched beauty! Extremely private with 100’s of acres of crown land on one side & a neighbour with 10 acres on the other. The lake is Caribbean blueish green & clear as glass. There are miles of trails to hike, 4x4, wild forage, or hunt in season. There are a couple other lakes nearby as well as the Fraser River & the Big Bar Ferry. Highly recommend!! One of our favourites is the Jesmond Fire Lookout. It requires a 4x4 vehicle or physical ability to complete a couple hour hike! We are a bit biased but our place is a very special one of a kind spot!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Whalebone Guest House with another couple and our dog. The tiny house was spotless, cozy, and well equipped — with a comfortable bed, handy kitchen, and thoughtful touches throughout. Even with four of us, it felt welcoming and never cramped. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by gardens and just a short walk to Whalebone Beach. We enjoyed quiet mornings by the ocean, easy island exploring during the day, and relaxing evenings back at the house. Our dog was happy and comfortable too, which made the trip even better. Our host was warm and accommodating, making sure we felt right at home while giving us plenty of space to relax. This was the perfect getaway spot, and we would happily return again.

From the moment we arrived, we knew Salmon Arm Camping Resort was something special. This isn't just a place to park your RV or pitch a tent; it's a family-run gem that feels like a true home away from home. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the owners and staff are what truly set this resort apart. They greeted us with a smile and were incredibly accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. The resort itself is a perfect blend of peaceful nature and fun amenities. Our site was spacious and private, nestled among beautiful, tall trees, providing a serene escape after a day of adventure. The facilities are top-notch and impeccably clean, from the well-maintained washrooms to the sparkling pool. The kids were entertained for hours with the mini-golf, playground, and pickleball court, while we enjoyed relaxing by the campfire at our site. The on-site store is a lifesaver, offering a fantastic selection of ice cream and other treats. What we love most is the fantastic location. It feels secluded and tranquil, yet it's just a short drive to the beautiful Shuswap Lake and the town of Salmon Arm, with its charming downtown, great restaurants, and access to a wealth of outdoor activities. We spent our days exploring local hiking trails and relaxing at the beach, knowing we had a cozy and welcoming campsite to return to. For anyone looking for a truly outstanding camping experience, we can't recommend Salmon Arm Camping Resort enough

Our trip was amazing. The space was gorgeous, quiet, and welcoming - as advertised. Dave and Eli were helpful and went above and beyond with anything we needed, especially when our arrival time was in high tide! Use of the kayaks and paddle boards were a real plus and kept us entertained. We will definitely stay again, and we highly recommend this place if you are looking for the peace and beauty of camping, but in pure luxury!

We had a wonderful stay at Paige’s tiny homes. Whalebone beach is great for swimming and walking and provides shady afternoon spots to nap. It is just a short walk down the quiet road. We were even lucky enough to see whales breaching and playing 3/4 days. We will absolutely be staying here again.

This truly is a hidden gem - we rented both the bus and the tiny home for a family trip. Both are very nicely put together. We made lots of use of the outdoor space for our meals and hanging out to read and relax. We really enjoyed having a beach and walking trails so nearby - it was such an easy thing to spend a couple hours on one beach, come home for lunch, then go explore another spot. The kids definitely want to go back and I couldn't agree more!

We booked both the bus and the tiny house on this listing for our family. The property is located close to one of the nicest beaches - it was our favourite of several we visited on our trip. It's so nice to pack a couple bags and walk five minutes away to sandy beach (best at low tide) with lots of great tide pools to explore. The island is quiet and peaceful and you'll have lots of privacy wherever you go. The spaces themselves are snug and comfortable and the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. You can see the thought the hosts have put into the space and they were easy to communicate with. Our kids loved biking on the mostly empty street and finding crabs on the beach, and we loved reading in the outdoor spaces. The kitties that came to visit outdoors were a bonus as we missed our pets back home. We fell in love and definitely want to go back!

This was our third time at Nile Point, and once again it was absolutely perfect. Eli and Dave are wonderful hosts—always welcoming and willing to help with anything you need. This was our first time staying in the safari tent, and it was such an incredible experience. The tent itself is huge with plenty of space, and the balcony overlooking the water made for the perfect evening—BBQing, relaxing, and cozying up by the fire. Nile Point truly is one of my favourite spots, and I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Eli and Dave!

We had a very nice 2 nights glamping in the bus. Fairly private set-up on her property with the communal bathroom a short walk away and access to a kitchen sink for washing up. Was delightfully close to a rocky beach where we didn’t see another soul as well as another beach/walking trail. Only con was that the bus was quite hot during our summer stay (no screens on the windows had us balancing cooling it down against mosquitos) but there were fans which helped. Cats were definitely a lovely bonus! Thank you for the cute stay!

Our family of 4 (boys aged 9 and 11) stayed 4 nights in the luxury canvas tent to kick off our summer vacation - terrific experience! The description is completely accurate; a secluded and beautiful spot which you feel you have to yourself (because you do!). Amazing view to wake up to. A protected little bay to paddleboard/swim/kayak in - water in July easily warm enough to swim. The tent itself is exactly like the pictures - clean, comfortable and spacious. Great outdoor kitchen / eating area. And to top it off, Dave and Eli are the most gracious of hosts - friendly and helpful, won't disturb your seclusion, but equally are quick to provide anything if you ask.
