We loved our stay at Blue Rein! Had lots of space to ourselves and it was very peaceful aside from the occasional moos or neighs from the nearby animals. This is the perfect place if you’re an animal lover as you’ll be greeted by dogs, cows, horses, pigs, and chickens. There’s also a great communal building with washrooms, a kitchen sink , and some fun things like a speaker and pool table. Would absolutely stay here again!

I camped with a bunch of friends at Rene’s property and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had. He was very kind and prompt. His dog, Jacks was very calm and quiet, and we had a good time with him.The ranch is also home to chickens and horses, so if you’re someone who likes animals you will definitely enjoy the vibe. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us and we would definitely go back soon.

A gorgeous location and everything was as described - would highly recommend! Perhaps a sign outside the property might be helpful to reassure guests that they're not just driving onto someone's land without permission!
Also very hands-off - no communication from the host before, during or after the stay. But perfect for what we needed, which was a tent site, fire pit and outhouse washroom!

We had such a wonderful stay at Cathy and Todd’s place through Hipcamp. Cathy was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she even offered us great suggestions for local hikes and activities. Todd was also very friendly and helpful. Their property is beautiful, with a well-kept grassy area that’s perfect for camping, and being around the horses made the experience even more special. Everything felt comfortable, peaceful, and thoughtfully set up. We truly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable camping experience.

Tenting with Blue Rein was amazing! The property is beautiful, with accessible amenities and super quick access to Fort Macleod. All of the animals were super friendly and the dogs made the property feel much safer, especially for a solo traveller. Highly recommend doing the ranch tour.

We spent unforgettable time here! The campsite has everything you need - private space in a beautiful place, electricity, water, washroom access, kind people around. My daughter is excited about the horse riding lesson she took. So many things to do and places to visit in this area - Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village, Lundbreck Falls, Oldman Dam. I would recommend this place for families seeking adventures during the days and quiet nature with campfire at night. Cathy is a very welcoming host!

Great tent camping spot. This is one of the best hip camping tent sites we have stayed at. The tent camping area is very private and with soft grass. Water and electricity are about 100 ft away. Fantastic washroom is in the horse arena which is about a block and a half away from the tent site. Hostess was accommodating and friendly. The song birds were a bonus. This would be a marvelous place for those camping with their horses. Exceptional privacy and shade. Another bonus is that it is within relatively easy driving distance of a World Cultural Heritage Site: the Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump. (Much of this drive was on gravel roads but was easily traversed.). I would rate this Hipcamp site as a 12 on a 10-point scale. I would detour to camp here again!

We had a great time camping here. Conner was very friendly & gave us a riding lesson on his horse Stardust. There were 3 big friendly dogs, a litter of puppies, pigs, chickens - so many animals!
The site was nice & quiet and we really enjoyed the fire pit with wood supplied.

We stayed in 2 campers and it had heaps of room for the both of us. The hosts were lovely & it felt like an authentic farm stay. Very pretty landscape and very close to Waterton Lakes National Park. Toilet was clean and the host helped us with access to water. He even gave us some fresh eggs for breakfast!! Would highly recommend

Could not recommend enough!! This was not only a great place to stay but a fantastic experience!! Cathy was absolutely brilliant and so friendly! She let us watch a western lesson and explained about western riding! The dogs were super friendly and we had the bonus of meeting the new foal! The pitch was beautiful and the toilet and shower were clean!

We enjoyed camping here! It was a great location to access Waterton and with only two campsites it made for a more private stay. Definitely after seeing the campsites in Waterton we quickly realized we made the right choice to stay here. It was a good experience and we would come back!
