Area vacation rentals are also based around Alberta provincial parks and gateway cities like Canmore, where you can find both provisions in town and stellar hiking out in the wilds. Alberta cabins range from modern and luxurious to cozy and rustic. Luxury cabins are perfect for romantic getaways and usually come with full kitchens, large bedrooms, king-sized beds, and extra treats like saunas, hot tubs, and lake views. Those in the backcountry are often more primitive (but not always!) with log cabin designs. Even in remote areas, amenities like fire pits, BBQs, and wood-burning fireplaces are common.
