Established in 1974 by the Bell Family it had been Bell RV Park until our purchase of the park in 2017.  With new owners and new upgrades to the park we felt it fitting to rename the park after the creek that flows to the north of the property, hence Goose Creek RV Park & Campground. Nestled in the rolling hills of wheat country, Goose Creek RV Park takes pride in its 5 acres of mature trees and landscape patio sites and cozy cabin rentals. Located on the east side in the town of Wilbur and walking distance to shopping and eateries. Swimming, golfing and pickle ball courts are all just minutes away. Come relax and unwind you will experience quite starry nights and wildlife that roams the park. Other attractions for summertime fun are Lake Roosevelt and Grand Coulee Dam, hiking and kayaking ion and around other smaller lakes in the area! Spokane International Airport and rental cars just an hour away. Hope to see you here in 2022!

Purchased by my parents in 2009 with only 6 RV sites, Country Lane Campground and RV Park now has 37 Full Hook Up RV Sites and a handful of dry camping/tent areas. Unfortunately due to the expanding business and time consumption we have decided to close our Cafe. With the closure we have expanded our onsite store to include Camping, Fishing, Hunting, Propane, RV Supplies and Boating items, along with snacks and other small items. We have also expanded our laundry room to include much larger commercial machines for all your washing needs.

This is an 11 acre mountain, and every campsite is designed to give an incredible View of Lake Roosevelt From the property, you could see the backside of the dam on the lake side. The inlet is called Eden Harbor. There’s lake access by foot or a short drive to the other side of the harbor. It’s a great place to go fishing get some sun and relax. Campsite is located close to the town. Where you can buy groceries, ice, get a bite to eat at a restaurant or any other camping essentials you need. It’s also near two different boat ramps for easy boat access. We are pet friendly with rules that need to be followed as a pet owner. You take full responsibility for your own pets. There are different wild animals around like dear, turkeys, coyotes, etc. Each campsite is set up for groups, 6 people or more depending on the sites. You are responsible or any damage to you, your group and your belongings. The property we named GAEA (the old Greek spelling of Mother Earth) was first seen in a vision. Historically, Deep Creek Canyon was a winter encampment for the Spokane Indians, whose ancestral lands surround us. We feel the healing spirit of the land, in partnership and stewardship. We gather community for Solstice & Equinox celebrations, bringing people together to honor the changing seasons. Our original house was one of the first in the canyon, in the early 1940's. There’s a map that leads you to hidden features, like the gypsy fortune-telling tea house, a fairy mound at the base of a huge fir tree, a yoga platform, and a Buddha bench for contemplating or conversation.

The best camping in Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, WA guide

Overview

About

Eastern Washington’s Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area protects the 125-square-mile Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake and some of the land surrounding it, serving as an outdoor recreation spot and attracting campers, boaters, anglers, and hikers. While it's primarily a summer destination, plenty of Washingtonians descend on the area in the wintertime to snowshoe, cross-country ski, and play in the snow. None of the public Lake Roosevelt campgrounds have hookups, but independently owned RV parks and Hipcamps are in the area.

Notable campgrounds

  • Great for boat-in camping: Detillion Campground is the largest boat-in campground with its own dock, 12 campsites, and vault toilets.
  • Great for families: Lakefront Kettle Falls Campground offers RV and tent camping with easy access to the town of Kettle Falls.
  • Great for winter camping: Fort Spokane Campground offers year-round vault toilets and an entire loop of campsites that stay open in winter.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. Camping fees are half off from October through April, but winter options are limited.
  2. All camping is by advance reservation only. Campsites open up for reservations at 7 am Pacific time, six months in advance.
  3. You can make reservations by calling the US Forest Service or using their online reservation system.
  4. Keller Ferry Campground is bookable through a third-party concessions provider.
  5. Boaters may camp along the shoreline but cannot camp within half a mile of any developed areas, such as campgrounds, boat launches, or parking lots, without first obtaining a boat moorage agreement.

When to go

Lake Roosevelt is a year-round destination, and while most come here during the warm summer months to take advantage of hiking, camping, and water recreation opportunities, there's plenty to do during the snowy winter months, too, including cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. If you want to go camping, July and August combine limited rainfall with warm weather, with highs in the mid-80s, and temperatures don’t start to drop drastically until the later part of September.

Know before you go

  • You can get gas, groceries, and other supplies in the nearby town of Coulee Dam.
  • Most toilets in the park are ADA accessible, and some campgrounds offer ADA sites.
  • Be prepared for rain and cold weather, no matter the season, as temperatures can drop considerably after dark. It's wise to download offline maps before you head out, as cell coverage can be spotty away from developed towns.
  • Check ahead for road closures, particularly if visiting during the snowy winter season.
