You'll be camping on our Stanley lake sugarbush property. Lakefront sites have power and water - are located in a grassy clearing on the shores of Stanley Lake. ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES ON PROPERTY!!
Primitive sites are amongst the maple trees of our sugarbush operation, within walking distance of the lake. These sites do not yet have water or electricity, but water is available from spigots at the lake clearing.
Stanley lake is just shy of 400 acres, known for walleye and bass. It is an all sports lake with no limited wake hours. Feel free to roam our woods - you will notice the blue maple lines come to an end at our east and west property lines, as well as a no trespassing sign on the lake clearing to the west line. Deer here are plentiful, and you can often get them to eat from your hand, provided you have apples. Iron county has a tremendous ORV/snowmobile trail system. You can drive your machine right from our property to the trails. There are two golf courses in the area, as well as a vast bicycle trail system. Ski Brule ski hills and sporting clay operation are a few miles from the property. Countless acres of public land for recreation!

River's Edge is a four season adventure company in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, outfitting adventurers with equipment and guidance. The property is located on the Manitowish River, Heart of Vilas County bike trail, and Iron County snowmobile trails. Campsites are located on the west end of the property, in proximity to all the activities, and include full hookups, a picnic table and fire ring. Bathroom is available for campers, however there is no shower. Campers get a discount on rental equipment.
Our sites are open year-round, although water service will be turned off when temps are below freezing.

Cozy vintage trailer located on an inland lake in the Heart of Upper Michigan. Excellent location for outdoor enthusiasts who love to explore waterfalls, fish, and hike. Those who want a homebase with a little extra comfort. Located within a few miles of the Baraga Plains ORV trail and North Country Trails. Trailer has one bedroom with a queen size bed. There is a twin rollaway bed and couch for additional sleeping space. Water is available for bathing and dishes. Please bring your own drinking water. Bathroom has a flushable toilet and shower. Kitchen has stove, toaster oven, refrigerator, and freezer. Coffee maker is also available. There is a picnic table, fire pit, and outdoor seating. Firewood may be used if on site. We offer a camping experience with a few extra amenities. Hipcamp is the perfect fit for our property. We would consider requests for camper or tents on site as well. Weekend Trip to Simplicity @Top Of The Hill Huskies
This spot is a truly perfect off-grid getaway. I couldn't have asked for a more prepared or inviting experience.
The host went above and beyond by having the wood stove prepped and ready for immediate use, along with some initial firewood provided. Since the temperature dropped into the 30s, I did burn through two bundles of wood over the course of the night to stay warm (which worked perfectly, with the fire only needing restarting once!).
The cabin itself is a cozy sanctuary, and it was exactly the recharge I needed. I am already wanting my next trip back!
Future visitors: If you're staying during cold weather, be prepared for at least two bundles of wood to last the night. Also, I highly recommend bringing a good camping lantern with you, a flashlight felt a little weak for lighting the whole space.

We had a wonderful time at Beach Camp! We were in a tent, so loved the flushing toilet! The road is close, but we found the convenience of it well worth any noise we may have heard. There is a full tree line between the camping area and it, so you can’t see the cars, only occasionally hear them when at the campsite - never by the beach. The beach area is to die for. So close to camp and just a haven.

Might not be for the kind of camper who just wants to sit at their site all day but if you're lookong for an adventure down the river or to get some mileage on the beautiful bike trails then this is an AMAZING spot. This is the most beautiful and serene location along Lake Superior! There are kayaks, bikes, and corn hole available for use, but it’s also a great place to sit and relax on the beach and enjoy the lake. The bathroom was very clean and water pump convenient. Doug and April provided a lot of great information prior to my arrival to be sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I would recommend this camp site in a heartbeat!

About
This may not be a Great Lake, but it is certainly a great lake, the largest outside of the big one on the Upper Peninsula. You’ll find a full range of recreational splendors at Lake Gogebic State Park—a hoppin’ campground with full amenities, quiet coves for paddling adventures, and a boatload of fun for the kids. They’ll have the time of their lives with a sandy beach for swimming, a shady playground, and paved campground roads—training-wheel friendly! Want to escape from the lakeside crowds? The Lake Gogebic-Forest Trail takes you deep into the woods and pops you out on the other side of the park. Master your inner (and outer) vacationer on the shores of Lake Gogebic.
When to go
The ideal time to visit Lake Gogebic State Park is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warm and the park is full of life. Fall also offers a spectacular display of colors, making it a great time for photographers and nature enthusiasts. Winter can be harsh and challenging for outdoor activities, so it's less recommended unless you're prepared for snow adventures.
Know before you go
- Ensure you have a Recreation Passport for park entry, as it's required for all visitors.
- Check the trail conditions and weather forecast before you set out to explore the park's trails.
- Remember to pack out all your trash and leave no trace to preserve the park's natural beauty.
- Cell service can be spotty, so download maps and important information beforehand.
- For safety, always let someone know your plans and expected return time when venturing into the park.
