Site#1 has Full Hook Up - Running water, sewage RV Hookup of 30amp and 50amp electricity, for $45. Site#2 and Site#3 are side by side. They have running water and priced at $25. each. These two Sites are better for tents or a small trailer. A personal generator may be used but only during certain hours. These are lovely spots with shade trees, so pretty. There are lots of mature Juniper trees and some Pine trees that provide shade on the property. Often we experience a lovely breeze. We live a mile off of 260 on a rugged dirt road. We keep the Entrance Gate locked for safety and security.
We are located on 2 acres and have a garden and a green house where we grow a large variety of vegetables. We only accept trailers and fifth wheels of 21 feet or less on site #2 and #3. There is a Chicken House and a rooster and we have plenty of farm fresh eggs that are available to purchase.
0ur home is tucked away 1 mile off the 260 Hwy. on a rugged dirt road. First you will drive pass the Linden Valley Arena before reaching our property. The Arena was designed for ropers by ropers and is open from May thru September.
10-15 minute drive away is Fool Hollow lake, Show Low City Park, Safeway Grocery Store, Post Office, Library, and a variety of restaurants. Within that distance there is Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Picnic Areas, Large Dog Park, well equipped Playground area, Basketball Courts, Baseball fields, Sand Volley Ball, Tennis Courts, Racquet Ball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Disc Golf, Outdoor Exercise Stations, Walking Trail, Pavilions, Restrooms all the while enjoying the enormous, plentiful Ponderosa Pines. Show Low City Park Aquatic Center has 6 lane 25-yard pool with an adjoining leisure pool featuring zero-depth entry, Spray Fountain, Water Slide, Indoor Spa.
Show Low was named by the turn of a Card. A ranch of nearly 100,000 acres jointly owned by Marion Clark and Croydon Cooley a U.S. army scout. According to legend, sometime around 1876, the partners decided that there was not enough room for both of them
and one of them should leave. They decided to settle this issue over a game of "Seven Up" (with the winner taking the ranch and the loser leaving.) After the game seemed to have no winner in sight the game reached it's climax when
Clark said, "If you can show low, you win." At this point
Cooley turned up the deuce of clubs, and declared "Show Low" it is! Show Low
is a city in Navajo County, Arizona
among the lush green ponderosa pine forestland and along Arizona's Mogollon Rim at an elevation of 6,345 feet. Show Low is now the largest city in the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona. Show Low is also the business hub and marketing center of the area.

At 6000ft elevation the air is much cleaner and the weather is much cooler, especially in the summer time! We have plenty of space. A well house to fill up your water. There are also outdoor bathrooms, no shower yet, but working on that! We're just a short seven minute drive to the dump station at a local gas station down the road on the Deuce of Clubs and Penrod. We are 14 minutes from a large hospital, 10 minutes from major grocery stores, shopping and restaurants, and many other fun activities. Our location is in a perfect spot to enjoy the blue sky and great weather. Sunrise Ski area is a quick drive too! Pinetop Lakeside are within 10 minutes, Taylor and Snowflake are within 15 to 25 minutes. We hope you visit and continue to keep our environment clean and a chill spot to visit. Ash Creek is a unicorn for remote camping on the edge of the Tonto National Forest. Andrew and his son offered us a tour of the canyon and we got to see all the views and learn about the history of the mining operations. The campsite we chose was flat and clean and the clearing was surrounded but trees and steep cliffs. With no light pollution, the night sky looked amazing and the sound of the creek created a nice ambience. We brought our own firewood but there were plenty of loose branches if you prefer to forage. I wish we had booked for more time here, because there is a lot to see and do, including hikes and mine exploration. I had no issues driving around in my Subaru Outback but would recommend reaching out about road conditions beforehand since some of the paths can be narrow or washed out. I don’t get to camp often but hope to be a repeat customer at Ash Canyon.

This place is a gem. Nani is very welcoming, the land and stars are beautiful, and her "treehouse" was available and cozy on a cold night. The main road driving in is well-graded dirt/clay. Just watch out for cows. Don't be in any rush, chat with Nani, learn about the place and respect the spot 🫶 Can't wait to come back in the future :)

We had the BEST time camping at Ash Creek Canyon. It’s truly hard for me to find words or sum up our trip in a short paragraph. To put it simply, it feels like we only saw the tip of the iceberg as far as exploration goes in Chrysotile. We cannot wait to go back and learn and explore some more. Our stay was magical. Andy was a top-notch host, super accommodating with speedy correspondence, and truly just a pleasure to be around. His enthusiasm, love and awe for this land shined bright. He showed us around all of the land reachable via side-by-side and gave us a grand tour on the history of the abandoned mining town. There is so much to uncover there. Not only was the history fascinating, but the scenery was BEAUTIFUL… truly enchanting. We camped at site #2, Waterfall Pasture. We were perfectly secluded from other campers and felt like we had the whole area to ourselves.. which was great as we were camping with our two young daughters and three dogs (a rather loud bunch). We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway, and cannot wait to come back. THANK YOU ANDY!

Loved this secluded canyon! Met Andrew by the highway, which was already way out there, then followed him on his quad in my 21' class-B van for 3 or 4 miles to campsite #2. Dislodged my low hanging generator on the rough road, but I knew it was a risk. Well worth it. This property had absolutely no noise or light pollution. It was an old mining town with several old mines still open to explore. I had an unforgettable few days secluded on this property. Zero cellular coverage with Verizon and Wi-Fi wasn't on while I was there. I thoroughly enjoyed my unplugged time. I will definitely be returning.

Nani was a remarkable host. Her land is quiet, clean and very pretty. She took the time to drive and meet us and escorted us to her campground. Each spot has a fire pit, picnic table and pad for tents. A really cute outhouse is in between the sites. She has built everything herself, which is quite impressive. She's a carpenter.
I do want to note that it is a 9.5 mile drive down a non paved road. It is very ruddy and washboard. We've been boondocking for 7 years and have been on some challenging roads. But, if you are somewhat inexperienced or have a vehicle that isn't equipped for it, you should be aware before attempting. However, it was definitely worth the stay. Beautiful property, very kind hostess and super quiet.

This place was incredible! We loved every second spent on the property. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, even though the interstate is 5 miles away. Paula provided more than enough firewood, and a porta-potty within walking distance of the site. She stopped by in the morning to check on us, but aside from that, never saw another human. It was incredibly relaxing. Just a quiet night under the stars.
The last portion of the trip is a bumpy dirt road, as others have mentioned, but I had my truck fully loaded with equipment, and never felt the need to move out of 2WD. You won’t need a 4x4 to get to the property. You WILL however want some daylight to make your way to camp, obviously.

This place is a little slice of Heaven! Cute and quaint cabin, with a spacious loft and homey feel. There were a ton of great hiking spots with beautiful views on these 40 acres. My German Shepherd enjoyed swimming in the pond, artistically lined with cattails and full of friendly fish. The other pond was a bit overgrown, but still a sight to see. The night sky is perfect for star gazing, away from city lights. “Cabin by the Pond” is definitely a great place to go to escape the business of life!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were looking for somewhere beautiful and private to celebrate our anniversary and this exceeded our expectations. The tour at the start was so informative and we were able to find and explore all the places Andrew talked about. We spent quite a bit of time in Victory mine, found the underground waterfall, and hiked back to the swimming hole. He described the swimming hole as 'fairytale', and it truly was. We camped on the most beautiful site with amazing views of the canyon and towering bluffs. It was full moon and the site of that moon rising over the bluffs was breathtaking. This is truly one of the most beautiful, untouched places we have ever been and we hope to be back again someday.

The campground is clean and the sites are spacious, but there are no enforced time restrictions on campers running generators. It is situated near the road, so you will hear early morning and late-night traffic. Also, we were there during monsoon season, and after a heavy rain, many discovered their tent sites were graded so that water pooled and puddled under the tent sites! Many had to move tents and some slept in their cars. Super amiable camp host and close to hiking and boating. Half of these sites are bookable in advance through recreation.gov

The sites are spacious- although, it was uncrowded during our stay. The host was personable and helpful and the sites were clean and well-maintained, with a nice mixture of sun and shade. The campground is close to the rim trail and Woods Canyon Lake and we enjoyed our stay. However, many tent sites have been cleared in a way so that if there is substantial rainfall, several inches of rain will collect underneath your tent! We were there during monsoon season and many tent campers needed to move their tents after a significant storm, and some campers spent the night in their vehicle. There is a road running alongside the campground and you will hear cars and trucks on the road from time to time, including late at night and early morning.

Beautiful area, bit of a hike to the water so be prepared. Not exactly wilderness but a pleasant place to camp. Enjoy AZ

Get there early and find a spot on the edge of the canyon. Stay to the left on the dirt road.

Much quieter than woods canyon but not on lake. There is a small general store at woods canyon about 10 mins away.

Never camped here but spent so much of my life hiking this area. If you haven't gone, go. Go in fall when the leaves are changing. The spring is gorgeous, but gets pretty windy. There are tons of trails in this area and all are beautiful
