The Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail Incorporated is facilitating the development of the disused rail corridor from Taragoola (near Gladstone, Central Queensland), through the Boyne Valley, on to Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera and south through to Gayndah in the Burnett Valley.
This property covers those campsites in the North Burnett Region.
The corridor is an inland link between Gladstone and Gayndah, which has great natural scenery, wildlife and historical structures with small country towns spread along its length.
There are several campsites (shown here on Hipcamps), on former railway sidings along the trail and a range of other accommodation types, some community NFP operated, which we encourage you to support.

We are a regenerative 1700 acre cattle property, settled in the heart of the North Burnett, Gayndah.
This property is too special not to share. With 5km of river frontage, the Burnett River, you can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, water krafts, hiking, wild life watching (platypus and lung fish), or old fashion relaxing.
We provide 8 very private and spread out sites. Guests must be fully self contained including toilet and drinking water - no facilities provided. We ask for minimal impact - removal of all rubbish is the guests responsibility. Tent only sites need access with 4WD vehicles.
Pets are permitted but must be under control at all times - Livestock may be near. Open fires are permitted in areas provided - subject to local restrictions when applicable.

Tranquil, remote and it is paradise. We have 400 acres of beautiful land. Lots of bush walking available, dams to swim in. Enjoy a camp fire, collect your own wood.
You will need to be fully self sufficient, there are no ammenities - no water, no power. What we do have is a beautiful environment rich in nature and gorgeous views.
We have cattle and horses which roam freely throughout the property.
Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead.
You will find us about 3.5 km on the left, there is a red 40 ft container and cattle yards at the front of the property near the entrance gate.
Our gates must be kept closed at all times.
We do have surveillance camera's over water holes.

Montaban Farm is 280 acres of rolling hills. You can set up on a flat, grassy site nearby a seasonal creek. You can chose to camp in the gully near the creek or from the top of the hill with a view of the hills. Access for all vehicles and camping set ups.
In 5 minutes drive you'll find yourself in the town of Mulgildie where there is a great pub and a grocer.
Small fires okay, please bring your own firepit.
In the centre of Mulgildie stands the sculpture of the Mulgildie Bunyip. Tourists are encouraged to visit the Bunyips watering hole approximately 10 minutes drive from Mulgildie, a place renowned for strange bubbling and churning waters.
There are national parks n the area which you can explore, where there is plenty of native wildlife and bush walks.

Range Station was a little gem - very relaxing with amazing views all around. We had the place to ourselves, but there was plenty of room to spread out. It was dry with a total fire ban when we were there, but at other times it would be a sea of green, rolling hills with fire pits, a port-a-loo and a delightful nursery / garden to explore. It’s off the beaten track so it feels like being a million miles away - perfect!

Absolutely magic spot on a beautiful part of the Burnett River. Amazing sunrise in one direction and spectacular sunset in the other. This section of river is so perfect for kayaking. The river is teaming with lung fish, birdlife, fish and we even saw platypus right at our campsite. The waterfalls downstream were a lovely surprise. Our campsite was absolute river front and bliss. We awoke to birdsong in the mornings and the nights were peaceful. 10/10

Plenty of fire wood to collect. Quiet and private camping.
Had long walks to other sites and found the Deluxe site was the best.
Long strolls around the site and saw amenities that were set up for a musical festival earlier in the year. Great for a break from the hassle of city life. Limited phone reception.

Absolutely loved the landscape and camping area, a cute nersury right next to the camping grounds. Angela is a very lovely lady who made sure we had enough firewood and checking up on us when needed.
