Wombat Flats Campsite is an exclusive, private camping area at the back of our 100 acres. We only book one group at a time, so you will have the entire site and facilities all to yourselves! The campsite borders Watagan National Park and guests can access the park directly through our back gate for bushwalking activities. Our farm itself includes walking trails, a dam and plenty of native wildlife, including birds, wombats, wallabies, echidnas and reptiles. We are devoted to horses and care for a diverse herd that includes some rescue brumbies and other beautiful equines you may meet on your walks. The closest cafe (Bistro Eden, a popular spot for coffee and food) is 15 minutes drive, and the closest Coles/Woolworths is 20 minutes drive away at Morisset. The Hunter Valley is an easy 1 hour drive away, with many wineries and restaurants to choose from. Fishing activities in Dora Creek or Lake Macquarie (15 - 20 minutes drive) are a popular pastime, as are beaches activities (45 minutes drive away).One site only! You will have the entire site and facilities all to yourselves. Wombat Flats Campsite is a flat grassy space on our farm. It sits beside Kingfisher Dam with the Watagan Mountains National Park as a backdrop. Our farm is 100 acres and Wombat Flats campsite is to the rear of the property, approximately 400 metres from our farmhouse. The site is bathed in morning sun and afternoon shade is provided by the magnificent Cheese trees at the rear of the campsite. It is perfect for guests who want peace and privacy in a bush setting with hiking access to the national park or around the farm. **Please note maximum number of caravans/camper trailers is 2 **

Very private. Close to Watagans Mtns. We’ll set up for camping with composting toilet and large covered area. Good place for family get together.

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful surroundings, private - no noisy campers next to you. You have the campsite all to yourselves. The undercover area was the best - we had some wet weather but it didn’t matter at all. Board games under the big shelter when it rained. Loved using the ozpig for cooking and the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. We can’t believe tables and chairs were provided. We had the best time exploring the walking tracks and beautiful tree lined creek.

Our second stay at Wombat Flats and it was beautiful. A very clean and tidy campsite with excellent amenities.... and you have the whole place to yourself! Wonderful!

Wombat Flats Campsite
Excellent serenity
My friends and I had a fabulous time! Two of my friends were first time campers and they really enjoyed the experience. Adrielle and John were excellent and clear with their communication, very accommodating and friendly. The campsite was spacious, provided privacy and had excellent facilities. I was very impressed with the shelter and it's offerings. It's one of the best private campsites I have stayed at. The reclaimed and recycled firewood through Adrielle and John was very good value and quality to last the 2 nights we were there as it's a generous amount, and had great burn time! We also loved the bonus friendly greeting from Ned (the dog) in the mornings. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

Awesome Camping with our dog!
We had an absolutely awesome stay at Wombat Flats Campsite. John and Adrielle have an amazing setup and take such pride in their camp site. The camp kitchen area, along with the Ozpig Big Pig cooker/heater was a blessing. An abundant of wildlife made for a very fulfilling but also very relaxing stay. Lots of paddocks and trails to explore, we cannot wait to return.

Amazing site. Coming back again.
We had such a great stay with John and Adriel. they was so accommodating and the space was just perfect. It had everything we needed and more couldn’t recommend a site more highly than this one. Thank you so much for having us. We had a great weekend.and contrary to the site description, we all had great phone service!!
