Sandy Lake Campground

The living’s easy at Sandy Lake Campground—and the living’s quite close to the water, too. Most of the campsites are within a low-key walk of the Sandy River or Big Sandy Lake, and a few sites can even claim “prime spot” status. Try to snag electric sites 1 through 10 or tent sites 1 through 4, since they’re right next to both the lake AND the river. You’ll notice that the designated fishing sites are kind of far from the campground—but that was done on purpose. Less noise from rowdy campers means you’ll have a greater chance of catching noise-averse fish!
