Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Welcome to our little retreat in the Northwoods of Wisconsin! We've got 24 acres of mostly Aspen Forest with oaks and maples. There's around 3km trails and a seasonal stream. We're located just 15 minutes from Lake Superior and Lake Nebagamon for fishing, swimming, and boating and 20 minutes from the twin ports of Superior and Duluth. Enjoy the touristy sites of the twin ports and then retreat to a quiet rural rustic campsite for a fire and conversation at the end of the day. Currently no hookups or outhouse on the property (hence the low price) but we're working to add more everyday! Our site offers a unique and wild retreat for the outdoorsy. Located in a large clearing right next to the road (dead end road with our property and one other house)the campsite is large enough to fit campers 25ft and under (any larger and it might be difficult to back in from the narrow road but not impossible). Plenty of room for additional tents. Comes with a fire pit. It's super easy to come and go, a short drive from the Twin Ports and Lake Nebagamon, and really close to the Lake Superior Circle Tour. Enjoy the fire pit outside under the bright stars while roasting marshmallows. The Roadside Rest campsite is a packed gravel base. Host will provide boards for camper jacks if you don't have them. Other Things to Note: Please read the discripttion fully. This is a cleared area with camper pad and fire ring only. We're working on in getting an outhouse built but as of now there's no toilet, we are located a 5 minute drive from Amnicon Falls State Park which has toilet facilities, or a 10 minute drive to the nearest Gas Station. The site has no running water or electricity so guests will need to bring their own water and food for drinking and cooking. Please keep in mind that this is a rustic camping experience. If you are looking for the full Oakbrook Experience, we are happy to meet our guests upon check-in to provide a tour of the land and our Tiny House, located on site, as well as provide a trail map. Message us to get the tour!

Great location! Comfortable Stay.
8 ft travel trailer
This was a great site. Close to the main road but definitely of the beaten path enough to feel private. Directions are good. Contact as requested when we arrived went well with a pleasant greeting. They let us know if we needed anything they would be happy to help. The sight had fresh gravel and was in great shape. We have a small teardrop and tent that we use and easily had enough room. My wife and I would say book and stay at this sight with confidence.

We enjoyed camping on Caitlin’s land! Caitlin even brought us over coffee and orange juice in the morning! Would stay here again! Thank you!

Camping with a kitty!
Tent
Cute little spot far enough into the woods to get away but close to not feel like a Skin-walker was going to get you. They surprised us with fresh OJ and cups in the morning, unfortunately we didn’t wake up for another 4 hours so by then it was warm. 😅 beautiful surroundings, we loved all of the dense trees and wild life! There was a cute well kept black kitty who visited us as we were settling in, and that made us feel at home! The no bathroom thing wasn’t an issue, we were able to drive to a Holiday gas station for when we had to poop (10 min away). Overall they were communicative, thoughtful, and friendly and we would recommend this get away spot to anyone looking for a night out of the cities.
