The place was adorable and had everything you would need. Having access to a private lake meant it was very quiet and the lake was clean. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to stay again!

Winter camp
We loved staying at Sarah and Steve’s tiny house. It was comfortable, pristine, beautifully designed and offered all of the things we needed. Sarah was very responsive, kind and welcoming. This quite and quaint getaway was soul filling. One evening we opened the door to go outside and there sat an only 5 feet away. A lovely visit from the wise. We camped in 9°f temps but keeping up with the wood stove and warm beverages kept us comfortable. The short drive to the club house to use the sauna and pool was a nice addition as well.

The woods around the Fern House were truly beautiful when we went in October! The house was cute but still practical, with a water tank for dish washing, and a solar panel for some electricity. Toilet was a camp toilet in the shed directly behind the house, so no long walk to an outhouse. The property has neighbors within eye and earshot, but they are far enough away to forget they are there after awhile. The clearing above the site was GREAT for starwatching. We saw chipmunks, and loads of white tail deer in the surrounding trees. And even a barred owl visited our campfire one evening! We would gladly return to the Fern House again in the warmer months to check out the beach and lake nearby

Cozy Cabin! 10/10 recommend!
My husband and I stayed here for a little weekend getaway in the fall. This spot was in a perfect location with lots of state parks / trails in the area, and overall in a gorgeous spot! The cabin is little like it says, but is cozy, welcoming, and has just about everything you could think of for a good camping trip. There is a lake close by and kayaks also available (for free)! Communication with Sarah and Steve was also awesome, they answer very quickly and are overall very kind people. If you are staying in the fall / winter, be sure to bring some extra blankets! 10/10 recommend this spot! :)

It was small and perfect. The amenities they were able to provide off site made this perfect for my wife and I. Beautiful area with not many neighbors nearby. Would recommend :)
