Site 2 - Westways The Flower Shed
We enjoyed our stay even though it seemed to be peak fly season and there was an early fire ban so no campfire which had appealed to me. Staying in our caravan near the flower shed was good because we had easy access to running water, shower & toilet, but next time would like to stay a bit closer to nature in the treed area. Maureen and Clive while busy on the farm are easy going and helpful, making for a relaxing break.

Westways River Gums
Serenity amongst the River Gums
Had a great time away. It was so quiet amongst the River Gums, we had the whole camping area to ourselves. It was a lovely drive around the property looking at all the wildflowers. It was so nice to also take a drink and nibbles up the sunset lookout.

Westways River Gums
The loop was excellent. Privacy between campsites was great and the hosts were very willing to share their vast knowledge of flower farming.
Westways River Gums
Beautiful but too close together
This place is so beautiful and the host is really nice, however when I bush camp I don’t want to be sitting on top of other people so this let it down for me. Given the amount of land I would recommend spreading people out so they can have their own little piece of nature.

Beautiful, peaceful location
A great place for some quality time with may partner. The campsite was basic, though had everything we needed. A little bonus was the fire pit and fire would which we were able to collect from around the area. We chose to pay a little more for a site with access to the shower but knew it would be needed after a long walk in the sun. There were cheaper and way more secluded options available, which we will likely book next time, however, neither option will break the bank!! We'd recommend the wildflower loop - we walked it (around 7km), but it is also drivable (though AWD/4WD is probably needed due to some soft sand on parts of the track).
Flies get commented on a lot - it's one of those things with that type of area and we're not going to complain about it (just a mention as a heads up). We came prepared as we had a gazebo with a fly net, but at minimum I would recommend a face fly net for late spring/summer, unless you're hardcore. A couple of swooping magpies to watch out for, but we were well protected by the gorgeous farm dog who would visit in the morning and evening to say hello, scrounge some food, and get some belly rubs.
100% would recommend if you want an escape with total peace. We will return!!
