Great little spot
Welcoming hosts and great little visitor (Teddy).
Bathroom beautifully clean and accessible. Great views we had added bonus of watching the combine harvesters busy at work in near by fields. Our Daughter and her friend 13 year olds loved it! Sun baked, played with Teddy, and 2 square on concrete viewing platform. Perfect for making most of visiting both Toodyay and Northam in a weekend.

Fields of wheat
We had a great time camped in front of fields of wheat. It was so peaceful and quiet and we especially enjoyed the visits from little Teddy, the tenterfield terrier. Watching sunsets over the valley was also very special. Anne makes delicious scones if you happen to be there on a Sunday! Thoroughly recommend this getaway, well positioned to Northam, York and Toodyay.

Do Not Recommend For Reactive Dogs
When we arrived at the hosts property, I advised her that our dog had previously been involved in a dog attack while on lead. He is not aggressive by any means, but he understandably doesn't like dogs rushing up to him and barking at him. As he was required to be on a lead and the hosts dog had full run of the property and camping area, I advised her that it would be best to keep the dogs apart.
The host then proceeded to put her dog up to our car window to "say hello" to our dog.
Within the space of 15 min while we were trying to set up, the hosts dog ran into the camping area twice and straight up to our dog.
I had to remove him the first time and try to find her as she was not close by.
We also believe that the photos on this website were misleading. The hosts back windows all face the camping area which would only be 40 m away. We were going to use our car as a privacy screen. The grass is short in the photos. While we understand that it's a farm and grass grows, there was a large mown section of the camping area that we were not allowed to use. We were told to set our tent up in the section where the grass was 1 foot long.
After the hosts dog came into the camping area for a second time, we decided to leave.
We specifically chose this camp-site as it only books one camping group at a time. We were after privacy for us and our dog.
We would not recommend this camp site for owners of reactive or timid dogs.

Anne and Steve were very accommodating and friendly. Their place is fantastic for a private camping trip. With the site sitting on the top of a hill, you’re guaranteed beautiful views of the surrounding fields and hills. Their dog Teddy is adorable too 😊

360 Panoramic Views of the Stars
So turned out “MarkandMandyOutAndAbout” were the very first Hipcampers to enjoy the spot.. directions were easy to follow the address is in Waze or Google Maps. The location is on the way to Meriden just off the Great Eastern Highway. There’s a small area just down from the homestead where you camp and we setup with our van looking out the other way and the views WOW. At night you have virtually a 360 panoramic view of the Milky Way and in the morning we saw Hot Air Balloons !!
We will be back - YouTube Video coming soon
