Something Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. You can really kick back here and relax! The walls and ceilings have been extensively insulated. There is a wood heater in the kitchen and another one in the main part of the Shed so it can be kept nice and cosy despite its size! You can drive your car/van inside the shed if you wish or park it under any of the many surrounding trees. The Shed sleeps 10 in total (base price covers all 10), with 1 queen and 1 single bed in one room, 1 dbl bed and 2 single beds in another room, and 1 queen bed and 1 single bed in a third room. All linen, towels, etc. are provided. If you have more people, they are welcome to pitch a tent or park their caravan on the grounds around the shed. For a large group (say 10 plus) we charge an extra $20 (total) to cover the extra power you will need. There's a chook yard/dog yard with 2 kennels outside but you're welcome to have your dog (not chooks) inside the Shed. There is a general store just 2km up the road, ideal for essentials and a few supplies. 14km from Donnybrook 37km from CollieSomething Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. Great host thank you Vivien! Best place for getting away into quiet and nature, but to still have access to the basic amenities.

Boys trip, Family trip, group stay
great open space to roll out tents or swags, plus the shed has a full service kitchen. we had a fantastic stay, caretaker was friendly and helpful. the farm kelpie will come and kick the footy with you, when he isnt herding the sheep (which he's probably not supposed to be doing). A wonderful spot for a weekend getaway with mates, or a longert stay with a few families that dont need everything to be the waldorf astoria.

Perfect way to "camp" - open space, chilly nights, campfire, good company, plus all the facilities you need, and none of the carting of gear and grubby pack up! We had blast and will definitely book again. Thanks Vivien! P.S. A couple of girls in our party nearly "accidentally" packed Alfie 😉

Perfect for big groups and doggos!
A fantastic spot for a large group :) was great to be able to bring the dogs and know they were safe wondering off (all fenced off!) Good to meet the farm dog “Alf” as well! The area is stunning, plenty to do with breweries and wineries in very close proximity.

Much needed getaway
What a great weekend! The kids, ran wild and so did our dog. Was the perfect get away! The indoor and outdoor fires were an absolute highlight.

Great stay with great scenery
The scenery is stunning and the quiet separation from society (whilst being 10 minutes from donnybrook) is so nice. Vivian was a great host and more than happy to be accommodating. Went down with 4 adults and 5 kids who all had a blast. Lots of things to do from playing horseshoes outside to playing ping pong and boardgames inside. It does get quite cold in the winter so be sure to rug up but the outdoor fire was nice for roasting marshmallows and keeping warm. Alf was great around the kids and provided entertainment swimming in the dam chasing ducks. Will most definitely book here again for another winter stay. Only slight thing to note is reception is patchy especially with Vodafone.
