We live on a picturesque 700 acre property, high in the Darling Range an hour north of Perth. The property overlooks Lake Chittering with sweeping views to the horizon. The native bush here is typical of the Darling Ranges, featuring Jarrah, Marri, Wandoo, Xanthorea and Banksia.  Fed by the mighty Brockman river, the pretty Chittering Lake is almost completely obscured by vegetation. The lake features lots of birdlife including swans, wood ducks, spoonbills and wedgetail eagles.  The Chittering valley has much to offer including scenic walks and local cellar doors. The springtime is full of the region's wildflowers, and if you're visiting around October don't miss A Taste of Chittering, the food and wine festival showcasing local produce.  We have a number of campsites on offer for your relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely time camping on Andrew's property. It was picturesque, quiet and spacious. All of that and just a half hour drive from our home. We woke up to kangaroos in the morning and a fantastic view. We will be coming back!

Escape from the city
We loved tent camping at the Old Mill. It was very peaceful and lovely to explore with a five year old and our dog. You can hear traffic from the nearby road if you’re a light sleeper, but nothing that would stop us from coming back again to escape the city for a night or two.

Horse Paddock camp
A long weekend too short.
Great site, the host helped us find the place, when the GPS led us astray, and then when we arrived led us to a nice secluded site, if I could find anything negative it would be slight road noise but in all honesty this was only noticed late at night when all other sounds had dropped. This would be a really good site once fires are allowed, I spent at least part of my time just wondering at deep star filled sky’s. I will be back

Old Mill Site
Really nice camp-site and setting. Far enough away from other campsites with easy directions and good hosts.

Expansive and unique property
Gorgeous sprawling 1500 acre property of mixed natural bushland and some sheep pasture. Camps are widely spread to offer privacy and retreat. Unique and good-humoured sculptures herald your entry up the driveway. Some road noise from Great Northern Hwy but does abate during the night. A gorgeous farm, dogs adored the unbridled exploration. We'd definitely return.
