Bought in October 2019, this raw land has a lot of potential. A running creek, scenic views, a brand new bridge to walk around this steep, mountainous land so close to the historic Appalachian trail, the historic Harpers Ferry downtown and many other active outdoor attractions.  Learn more about this land: Quaint, private one-acre campsite in a quiet mountainous rural neighborhood. A small running creek is right next to wherever you wish to camp. Perfect forest excursion. Single campsite for one private party - no sharing.  All the attractions and conveniences are within five to 20 minutes drive. Perfect for river riders, wine-tasting aficionados, hikers, historic sightseers, casino gamblers, campers and so on. A gravel road is right front of the campsite and just a few close by houses that are partially obscured by the forest trees. 4 wheel vehicles are not required unless weather is bad.

Flop Ear Campsite
Nice location near Charles Town, Harpers Ferry, Shenandoah River and AT Trail. Owner really needs to clean up the trash and weeds on the site before I would recommend others to stay there. It could be a beautiful, convenient camping spot.

Flop Ear Campsite
It's always fun to camp and the woods of WV are always gorgeous. It was a pleasant weekend. I appreciated the lights and the fire pit. However, I'd call the site strange. It's in a neighborhood essentially, so I felt weird about making noise while also getting to experience everyone mowing. There was little space for tents and parking, and exclusively space on uneven gravel for tents. The information I needed about access the toilet wasn't given to me until the next morning at 9am, and the other structure on site seemed, frankly, dangerous. It didn't seem ready for camping.

Quiet street with secluded feel, saw two cars and five deer. Overhead lights create nice ambience and facilities are a nice convenience.

Fun with a neat setup
We had a great time camping at this site. The bathroom shed was very nice, and the setup of the firepit was beautiful with nice overhead lighting. Yes it's in a neighborhood with houses around, but especially when it gets dark it still feels private. Evelina was very helpful with quick responses.
