Relatives' Land is an opportunity for Delphine, who currently owns the property and all of us visiting, to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and learn about the amazing bio-diversity of the area. On the land you will find some flat, prairie land that are used for gardening and chicken raising. There is also an old orchard with 15 plus apple and pear trees. Campers are welcome to harvest apples and pears in the fall when they are in season! Half of the land, 2.5 acres is a forest of pine and alder trees which hosts incredible wild life: a family of fox, Northwest bats, Northern Pygmy owls, Spotted owls, Northern flickers, Pileated woodpeckers, red ants, deer, elk, rabbits, snakes, mice and million more insects and birds. The land also has an incredible variety of mushrooms, mostly non-edible though, and ferns and mosses. All the animals on the land are our "Relatives". This is really their land! Follow Relatives' Land on Instagram for more photos, videos and special tips! Raw land with prairie and forest, 2 miles up the Columbia River, off highway 4. Campsite is a tree tent which sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. You will need your own sleeping gear but we have some mats available.  There is a hammock underneath the tree tent which sleeps another 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children but is not sheltered from the outside. In the summer, sleeping outside on the hammock is my favorite! The camp site has a picnic table, an out-house with composting toilet (no need to worry about it; we take care of it!), a fire pit and supplies for starting a fire and some basic cooking utensils. Delphine stays in the tinny house on the property which is still in construction. To the South of Relatives' Land is our neighbor Kevin. Him and his family own the property to the West of us as well. On the East side of the property is our neighbor Calvin. He is currently building a house on his property. To the North of us is John's property but it is not visible since it is on the other side of the forest.  Warring: There is very poor cellular reception on the land. With Verizon, I can text and receive texts, but I cannot take or make calls or surf the internet. However, there is internet access available!

Relatives' Land
Delphine was such a kind and welcoming host. The land was beautiful and had a cool aerial tree tent you could sleep in. I spent time up there during the day reading and relaxing and then put up a small tent nearby to sleep in. The place has an outhouse, a nearby hammock and comes with water to wash dishes. Delphine was so nice and took me on a walk around the property and also invited me for a dinner around the fire. It was enchanting to eat fire grilled steaks and home grown veggies under a full moon with her friends. I highly recommend this spot!

Wow hammock tent in the trees!
Magical nature nook to escape the city for a weekend. I came out here with my mom and sister, we had so much fun cozying up in the hammock tent and hanging out at the fire pit after we ventured to the beach 5 minutes down the road. Delphine’s warm and accommodating, hope to come back and visit her and the family of lovely animals soon.

I’m so in love.
This place was kinda magical. Not to far from Vancouver. The hammock tent was a complete hit with the three kids after we learned how to lay and sleep. I slept on the bottom hammock and the sounds aand sights of the forrest at night were a magical way to fall asleep. I would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Quick side note, when using the toilet as a male, make sure to aim your thing down while going number two. We have some clothes that are…..um…..wet. Totally a small price to pay for a super rad weekend.

beautiful cutesy place!
Del is so sweet and the area around is beautiful. This campsite provides many accommodations and resources such as firewood/firepit/table/drinking water and none drinking water/hammock/some cooking supplies/a tent/compostable toilet/and wifi if needed. Amazing experience, the cats when seen are so cute and theres deer!!!!! No disturbances, amazing place and great way to camp (for beginners especially). Thank you Del for your hospitality!

Relatives' Land
Very quiet, some recommendations
Very cool option. Tent was awesome however it was uncomfortable. I would recommend bringing own yoga mats to sleep on. Tent was good keeping bugs out. Loved there was a first aid kit and broom available to use. Shed had citranella for use, which was convenient. Overall land was clean and well kept.
